Colorado Avalanche vs Philadelphia Flyers Predictions, Odds and Picks for Monday, 11/18/24
Avalanche vs Flyers Pickswise Expert Predictions
The Colorado Avalanche travel to Philadelphia to take on the Flyers for the first time this season. Both teams have had mediocre starts to the year, but one team is hoping to turn things around and start making its push for the playoffs. Philadelphia is 30th in the league in shots per game on home ice, and it lacks a ton of depth up front. The Avalanche are riding a 3-game winning streak, but those wins have come against San Jose, Ottawa and Buffalo. Those aren’t elite teams by any means. They will be challenged by a much better hockey team tonight and won’t be able to keep up.
Colorado has welcomed some regulars back to the lineup and that should make a difference. They will be without Alexandar Georgiev for an extended period of time due to injury, but that’s probably a blessing, considering how terrible he has been this season. The Avalanche don’t score as many goals on the road, but they are still the better overall team. They can control the pace from start to finish and they still have a deadly power play. They also allow just over 25 shots against per game. As long as they get decent goaltending, there is no reason for this game to be even remotely close. We’ll take Colorado to take care of business in regulation.
