Colorado Avalanche vs Florida Panthers Prediction, Odds and Picks for Today, 11/23/24
Avalanche vs Panthers Pickswise Expert Predictions
The Colorado Avalanche have been getting healthier and it has been making them a much more competitive team than they were to begin the season. They have a very difficult task ahead of them as they are in Florida to take on the reigning Stanley Cup Champions, the Panthers. This is a battle between two teams that have no problems scoring goals, but have issues with keeping pucks out of their own nets. They are both averaging 3.30 goals for per game or more, and surrender 3.25 goals against per game or more. This game will feature two of the top four point scorers in the NHL, Nathan Mackinnon and Sam Reinhart. Reinhart also is tied for the league lead in goal scoring with 15 on the season. Goaltending has been a major area of concern for the Avalanche this season. Alexander Georgiev will be getting the start; he has a 3.31 GAA and .874 SVP on the season. It is not much better at the other end of the ice for future hall of famer Sergei Bobrovsky. He has a 2.98 GAA and a .893 SVP.
The Florida Panthers are tied for fourth in the NHL in penalty minutes, and this could be an issue for them as the Avalanche have the leagues second best powerplay unit, operating at 30.8%. I think we are in for a high-scoring affair Saturday night in south Florida. I will be taking the over in this game.
