The next chapter in the Boston Bruins and Toronto Maple Leafs rivalry continues on Tuesday night as the Bruins travel to Toronto. The Bruins come into this game riding back-to-back shutout victories, while the Leafs continue to struggle with finding consistency in their game. The silver lining for the Leafs is that they have done most of their winning on home ice this year, and this game is being played in Toronto. The previous meeting between these teams had the Bruins winning in overtime and the Leafs will be playing very desperate for a win to silence any critics. They finally scored a powerplay goal in their last outing as they had a new-look five forward powerplay unit. The powerplay looked good and they will need this to continue if they want to start stringing together a few wins. Although things aren’t working too well on the offensive side of things, their team defence has been solid, averaging 3.00 goals against per game on the season. This is good for seventh best in the NHL.

Offensive production has been hard to come by for the Bruins this year and they seem to be lacking the scoring depth that has made them such a dominant team for the last number of seasons. They will be relying heavily on their defence and goaltending this season. This is going to be a close battle between two teams that are struggling to score goals.
