Commanders vs Saints Pickswise Expert Predictions
The Washington Commanders will be trying to stay on the winning track when they visit the New Orleans Saints on Sunday afternoon. Washington had lost 3 games in a row before hammering the Tennessee Titans 42-19 in Week 13. Head coach Dan Quinn’s crew is now coming off a bye, so they will be well-rested for this one. Jayden Daniels, Terry McLaurin and the rest of the gang should be able to capitalize on a weak New Orleans defense. Even though Daniels has cooled off a bit following a torrid first half of his rookie campaign, McLaurin has eclipsed the 100-yard mark in 3 of the last 6 outings and has 5 touchdowns during this stretch. It’s hard to see the home team containing the Commanders’ passing attack.
Moreover, New Orleans is dealing with all kinds of injuries on the offensive side of the ball. Derek Carr has a fractured hand (non-throwing) and a concussion. He is listed as questionable, but a “week-to-week” designation does not sound like he is trending in the right direction. Alvin Kamara and tight end Juwan Johnson are also questionable. Even when healthy, the Saints have never been confused with being a good football team — at least not since way back in Week 2. Give me Washington to prevail by at least a touchdown.
