Both the Sea Dragons and Vipers have only tasted defeat so far this season, but Seattle has looked the sharper of the two teams heading into this one and that should prove to be the difference maker. The Sea Dragons have twice let 4th-quarter leads slip and last week were victims of a last-minute Battlehawks comeback. That should motivate this team to get over the line here against a Vegas team that has struggled to compete with its opponents.

Sea Dragons vs Vipers point spread pick: Sea Dragons -3 (-115)
In a battle between 0-2 teams, we pit the Vipers against the Sea Dragons. The Sea Dragons were the victim of another Battlehawk’s last-minute comeback This is the second week in a row that Seattle has let a team rally in the fourth quarter for a win. Seattle quarterback Ben DiNucci played better this week with no interceptions but he did have a fumble. The Sea Dragons had 3 turnovers again this week which was a big contributor to their loss. They will need to clean that up this week if they want to finally get that win.
The Vipers could not get anything going on offense last week. They ran 46 plays for 177 total yards. Some of that can be attributed to the DC defense since the Vipers scored 20 points in week 1, but the Defenders also allowed 18 points in week 1. So either the DC defense got better or the Viper’s offense got worse. I lean towards the latter. Vegas struggled to throw the ball but did have 3 different running backs who put up solid numbers. I expect them to lean more into the run game this week, but with the lack of offense, I don’t expect them to capitalize on the Sea Dragons’ turnover problem. Take the Sea Dragons to cover.

Although the Vipers put up 20 points in week 1, with their performance last week it is hard to expect them to put up big points this week. Their offense has struggled in both their first 2 games. They threw 3 interceptions in week 1 and only had 177 total yards in week 2. The Sea Dragons are better on offense but not by much. They put up 18 points in week 1 and 20 points in week 2. I expect them to put up a similar number this week. Taking all that into account this game should stay below the number.
