Terrific night of All-Star Game picks
The National League won its first All-Star Game in 10 seasons on Tuesday, and Pickswise MLB expert Keith Schmelter continued his strong 2023 campaign with a perfect 5-0 night, cashing in on the NRFI, his National League ML selection and the under 7.5. Beyond the side and total, he also cashed Luis Arraez to hit a single and under 16.5 hits in the game in his All-Star Game props predictions.
Svitolina knocks out Swiatek
In one of the bigger upsets on the women’s side of the draw at Wimbledon, Elina Svitolina knocked out top-seeded Iga Swiatek in a 3-set thriller to advance the semifinals on Thursday. Best Bet of the Day
Tennis: Carlos Alcaraz vs Holger Rune Over 36.5 games (-115)
9:45 am ET, ESPN
Alcaraz should win this match, but there isn’t any value on him as a huge favorite. Rune is too good to make it worth betting on Alcaraz for a small return. Instead, the smartest play on this quarterfinal is the over. The game total is set at a modest 36.5 number–one that these 2 guys should have no trouble exceeding. Their only previous meeting on the main tour had the makings of a thriller before Alcaraz was forced to retire during a second-set tiebreaker at the 2022 Paris Masters (Rune won the first set). Rune fears no one on tour and certainly isn’t scared of a fellow 20-year-old. As long as the Dane takes at least 1 set, this should soar over the quota. Read our full Wimbledon tennis predictions.
