Welcome to February, which is never going to confused with the best month on the sports calendar. But, hey, at least it has the Super Bowl! It’s already time to start looking ahead to the big game, and as for the more immediate future we have plenty of Tuesday action in other sports that needs to be discussed.
With that, here is our latest installment of Wise n’ Shine!
About Last Night
NBA parlay cashes
Our +602 NBA parlay was a big winner thanks to the Grizzlies, Celtics, and Raptors. Although Memphis lost at Philadelphia, Ja Morant and company covered a +3.5 spread in a 122-119 overtime setback.
Duke downs Notre Dame
Duke’s defense put the clamps down on Notre Dame as the 9th-ranked Blue Devils allowed a mere 14 points in the first half en route to a 57-43 road win. No. 8 Baylor, the only other top 25 team in action, battled past West Virginia 81-77.
Matthews picks up hat-trick
One of our best NHL prop bets on Monday was Auston Matthews over 0.5 goals in the Maple Leafs vs Devils game. Well, Matthews didn’t score just one; he recorded his fifth career hat-trick in Toronto’s 6-4 win. The Leafs have now scored 13 goals in their last 2 games.

Crosby vs Ovechkin on the ice
One of the best NHL rivalries adds another chapter on Tuesday, as Alex Ovechkin’s Capitals are visiting Sidney Crosby and the Penguins. Another intriguing contest pits the Panthers (31-9-5) against the Rangers (29-13-4). You can find all of our hockey coverage on the NHL page.
Best Bet of the Day
Vancouver Canucks vs Nashville Predators Under 6
8:00 pm ET, ESPN+
Vancouver is playing on the second half of a road back-to-back, so it could be dealing with some fatigue. Additionally, scoring goals against Nashville’s Juuse Saros is no easy task. Saros has been tremendous all season long; his .927 save percentage is the 4th-best mark in the league. On the other side, Thatcher Demko of the Canucks made 31 out of 32 save opportunities against the Predators in their matchup 2 weeks ago. He should be rested and ready to roll after getting last night off. The previous 2 meetings between these teams this season ended with scores of 3-2 and 3-1. It would not be surprising to see a similar result in this one. Roll with the under. Read our full game preview for Canucks vs Predators.

Stat of the Day
Tennessee ranks 5th in the country in KenPom’s adjusted defensive efficiency metric. Texas A&M is the 11th-best team in forcing turnovers. That’s why the under in that showdown is one of our CBB best bets of the day.
Boost of the Day
