Welcome to another terrific Tuesday of sports. The NBA’s play-in tournament start today and there are also big slates in the NHL and MLB, plus Champions League soccer. Let’s get straight into it!
About Last Night
Rays lose unbeaten record
It didn’t take long for every team in the MLB to pick up a loss, as the final undefeated team — the Tampa Bay Rays — completed the set in style with a 13-2 home defeat to the Oakland Athletics. At the other end of the standings there are no winless teams, either, after the Baltimore Orioles got their first W of the season against the Milwaukee Brewers. The Cleveland Guardians made it 27 runs in 2 games with a 10-7 win over the Kansas City Royals.
Jets get better of Canadiens
There was only 1 NHL game on Monday and it produced a 4-2 win for the Winnipeg Jets over the Montreal Canadiens.

Best Bet of the Day
Los Angeles Clippers ML vs Minnesota Timberwolves
9:30 pm ET, TNT
The Los Angeles Clippers won their season series against the Minnesota Timberwolves 3-1, winning both games on the road. They have been locked into the 8th seed for a while now and with one of the leading coaches in the NBA in Tyronn Lue, they should be well prepared. The Timberwolves have been only 27th in defensive rating over the last 10 games, with the visitors 6th in offensive rating during that time. The Clippers have been able to shut down Karl-Anthony Towns this season, limiting him to 15.3 points in 3 outings. If the Clippers have success limiting the Timberwolves’ stars, they should be able to score enough points to pull off the win. Read our full game preview for Clippers vs Timberwolves.
