About Last Night
Rodgers ruled out with COVID
The Packers’ COVID problems continued after Aaron Rodgers was ruled out of Sunday’s game against the Chiefs with the virus. Kansas City is now an 8.5-point favorite, and our NFL expert Andrew Ortenberg has broken down what it all means.
Celtics bounce back
After their humiliating collapse to the Bulls, the Boston Celtics rebounded with a solid 92-79 victory over the Magic. Tonight they face a much tougher test against the Miami Heat, and it will be interesting to see if the issues in Boston have truly been resolved. Elsewhere, the Nets earned a solid win over the Hawks while the Clippers continued to get back on track with a 126-115 win over the Timberwolves.
Hurricanes stay perfect in NHL
The Carolina Hurricanes scored two goals in the third period to come from behind and defeat the Blackhawks to move to 9-0-0 on the season. That wrapped up a big 60-minute Money Line win for our NHL expert Chad Wetzel at +110 odds. Meanwhile the Oilers stayed hot with a comfortable 5-2 win over the Predators to go to 8-1-0. Edmonton is now fifth-favorite to win the Stanley Cup at +1400 with FanDuel Sportsbook, while the Hurricanes are +1600.

Best Bet of the Day
Philadelphia 76ers -5.5 vs Detroit Pistons
7pm ET
The 76ers should be able to register their 5th win in a row in this one. Seth Curry has been excellent lately and it’s a real positive sign that this team hasn’t had to rely on Joel Embiid to get it done. Philly is 9-1 ATS against teams with a winning percentage record of 40% or lower, and the 76ers should feast on a Pistons team that has just 1 win this season and lacks talent and depth. Check out our full game preview for Philadelphia 76ers vs Detroit Pistons.
