Good morning, Pickswise Nation. We have a super Sunday of sport ahead with a great final round of the Open Championship in prospect and the final MLB slate before the all-star break, plus MLS, NASCAR and IndyCar action. Let’s get straight to making your next bet better!

About Last Night

Saturday was parlay day
Saturday brought the Pickswise team a great double win with both our mega parlay (+858 odds) and our standard Saturday parlay cashing at +451 thanks to the Twins ML, and the Astros and Dodgers on the -1.5 run lines. Even if you missed those but just tailed our single game bets, you should have had a nice day as we went 11-5 on RL/ML picks and 8-6-2 on total over/unders. It was a 1-1 day for our daily YRFI/NRFI best bets, but we’re 17-3 over the last 10 days! Paul Goldschmidt hit his 300th home run in the Cardinals’ 11-3 win over the Reds, the Blue Jays just beat the depleted Royals 6-5 in the 1oth and the Mariners made it 13 wins in a row by beating the Rangers 3-2. The Guardians and Phillies had 10-0 wins, but the Yankees did even better, blasting the Red Sox 14-1.

Today’s Slate

14 games as MLB signs off
We have a 14-game slate of MLB today, the last action before the all-star break. It starts early, with Peacock showing Royals vs Blue Jays at 12:05 pm ET, while Reds vs Cardinals is on ESPN+ at 2:15 pm ET. Check out our picks for all today’s MLB action.

There’s golf, MLS, NASCAR and IndyCar too
Rory McIlroy, Diane Knox Balas’s 10/1 3-star play for the Open Championship, is favorite heading into his final round in what looks set to be a dramatic duel with Norway’s Viktor Hovland. Ricky Dimon has the best bets for the final round. You can also check out our picks for today’s MLS soccer, NASCAR’s Ambetter 301 and today’s IndyCar race in Toronto.

Best Bet of the Day

MLS: New York Red Bulls 3-way ML vs NYCFC
5:00 pm ET, ESPN+

The New York Red Bulls can beat New York City FC at Red Bull Arena today. NYCFC picked up a 1-0 road win against FC Dallas last time, but that was their first shutout since May. They lost 3-0 to the Red Bulls in the US Open Cup just under a month ago. The Red Bulls are unbeaten in their last 3 matches and are 4-0-1 in their last 5 home games, outscoring those opponents by 8 goals. New York has just 3 road wins this season, and they are not so strong away from Yankee Stadium. The home team is 11-1-3 in the last 15 matchups between the teams and the Red Bulls can pick up all 3 points to extend that trend. Check out our full preview of NYCFC vs NY Red Bulls.

Quote of the Day

“I’m going against one of the best players in the world and I’m certainly not going to hold back, because he’s certainly not.”
