Super Bowl places are on the line today as the Bengals bid to upset the Chiefs before the 49ers visit the Rams, and in addition to those two huge football games we also have NBA, NHL, and college basketball action. Let’s get straight to finding the best bets on another super Sunday of sports!
About Last Night
NBA Best Bets both cash on Saturday
Some people aren’t keen on backing game total unders, but when you have twin 3-star under plays on the same day and they both cash (under 228.5 in Wizards vs Grizzlies and under 230.5 in Nets vs Warriors) they are wonderful things! The day’s wildest game saw the Raptors (+5.5) upset the Heat 124-120 in triple-overtime.
Golden Knights edge out Lightning
There were few upsets in Saturday’s NHL action, but the Golden Knights got the better of the Lightning in a shootout, while the Canucks and Flames played out a goalless game before the Flames won 1-0 in overtime.
Baylor and Kansas upset on Saturday
The top 3 teams in the college basketball rankings — Auburn, Gonzaga, and Arizona — all won on Saturday, but the teams ranked 4th and 5th both lost with Alabama beating Baylor 87-78 and Kentucky overcoming Kansas 80-62.

Best Bet of the Day
Los Angeles Lakers vs Atlanta Hawks Over 225.5
1:00 pm ET
The Lakers put up an average of 110.8 points per game this season, ranking 10th in the NBA, while the Hawks are at 111.4 per game, which puts them 3 spots ahead. Neither team puts that much emphasis on defense. Atlanta ranks 23rd in points allowed, giving up 111.1 per game, LA is even worse at 112.3 per game with only 4 teams below them in the NBA. Only 6 of the last 18 Lakers games have gone under the total, while 9 of Atlanta’s last 12 against Western Conference teams have gone over. With the Lakers playing at the 3rd-fastest pace this season, we could be in for another frantic game, which should result in the total going over. Check out our full preview of Lakers vs Hawks.
