It’s the first Sunday since early September with no seriously competitive NFL action, but we’re not exactly short of top-quality alternatives with NBA, college basketball, soccer, NASCAR, and Winter Olympics action taking place! Let’s get straight to finding the best bets on another super Sunday of sports.

About Last Night

Super Saturday for our NBA picks
Bucks -8.5 and under 220 in Suns vs Wizards gave us a perfect 2-0 record on NBA 3-star plays on Saturday’s slate. Overall we went 5-1 on the sides. The Knicks vs Lakers game provided the best finish, with LeBron James returning after a 5-game absence to deliver a triple-double as the Lakers won 122-115 in overtime.

Bruins beaten but Auburn survives scare
With a huge slate of college hoops action on Saturday, there were inevitably going to be shocks. Arizona State (+10.5) provided the biggest one, beating 3rd-ranked UCLA 87-84 in triple-overtime. Bettors who put the Auburn ML in their parlays were really made to sweat, too, as the No. 1-ranked team beat Georgia 74-72.

Today’s Slate

Bucks vs Clippers tops the bill in the NBA
There are 8 games on today’s NBA schedule, with 3 afternoon matchups and 5 in the evening. Hawks vs Mavericks is being shown on ESPN at 6:00 pm ET before Bucks vs Clippers on NBA TV brings the action to a close at 9:00 pm ET. You can check out our picks for all today’s NBA action.

Small slate on the hardwood
It’s a quieter day of college hoops today, but there are ranked teams in action with Providence visiting Georgetown at noon ET and Ohio State hosting Maryland at 1:00 pm. Check out our picks for today’s college basketball.

Pro Bowl, NASCAR, soccer and Winter Olympics too!
The NFL Pro Bowl is not an advised medium for anything other than small-stakes bets, but we have a preview of this year’s AFC vs NFC all-star game at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas (3:00 pm ET, ABC). The NASCAR field are rolling again this afternoon, so check out our picks for the 2022 championship and today’s Busch Light Clash. We also have picks for today’s FA Cup soccer and tonight’s action at the Winter Olympics.

Best Bet of the Day

Denver Nuggets -5.5 vs Brooklyn Nets
3:30 pm ET

The Brooklyn Nets are on a 7-game losing streak and they face an uphill battle in Denver tonight. James Harden has been listed as questionable with a hamstring issue, and something is clearly bothering him after he scoring just 4 points at Sacramento and missed the game at Utah. The Nets have dropped 5 in a row on the road and have covered the spread just once in 7 games against Western Conference opponents. Denver is on a 3-game losing streak, but Nikola Jokic returned to the lineup in their last game and the Nuggets have covered the spread in 4 of their last 6 games. Despite their injury woes, the Nuggets have showed character all season and getting Aaron Gordon back can help them to take care of the struggling Nets. Check out our full preview of Nuggets vs Nets.

Boost of the day
