We’re talkin’ about playoffs in the NBA and NHL, plus a full schedule of MLB action actually begins in the morning on Sunday. We also have plenty of soccer action in both the English Premier League and Major League Soccer. It’s another big day in the world of sports, so let’s not waste any time and get right to making your next bet better. Here is our latest installment of Wise n’ Shine!
About Last Night
Bucks, Warriors take 2-1 leads
The Bucks battled past the visiting Celtics 103-100 behind 42 points from Giannis Antetokounmpo, giving the defending NBA champs a 2-1 lead in the series. Golden State also pocketed a 2-1 advantage, doing so in much different fashion against Memphis. The Warriors rolled 142-112 as we easily cashed both our ATS (Warriors -7) and O/U (Over 225.5) bets.
Goals, goals and more goals in NHL playoffs
All four NHL playoff games on Saturday went over the total. Luckily we were on the correct side in three of them. Colorado is the only team with a 3-0 lead right now after it humiliated Nashville 7-3. The lowest-scoring game was Dallas’ 4-2 victory over Calgary.
The Reds won a baseball game
Cincinnati (4-22) actually won a game on Saturday. The Reds halted a nine-game losing streak by beating Pittsburgh 9-2. And get this: we won a bet on the Reds! Granted we had them on the +1.5 run line, but any betting success on a team this bad feels especially good. We were on Over 8.5 in that contest, as well.
One of the richest strikes ever at Kentucky Derby
The longest of the longshots stunned the field at the Kentucky Derby, as Rich Strike (80/1) stormed past Epicenter and Zandon down the stretch to win in dramatic fashion. Rich Strike wasn’t even in the field until there was a late scratch on Friday. He had the second-longest odds for a champion in Kentucky Derby history.

All four NHL series at 2-1
The story is a similar one in the NHL, where all four first-round series on Sunday stand at 2-1. An especially intriguing matchup pits the Maple Leafs against the Lightning. Toronto has the upper hand right now, but Tampa Bay is playing at home one more time before the series goes back north. You can find all of our hockey coverage on the NHL page.
Early start in MLB today
Weekend series in Major League Baseball wrap up today. A rare 11:35 am ET meeting between the White Sox and Red Sox will be televised on NBC, while the ESPN Sunday Night Game of the Week is Dodgers-Cubs. Check out all of our MLB previews for the full 15-game slate.
Manchester City tries to rebound
There are four English Premier League games on Sunday to go along with a trio in Major League Soccer. It will be interesting to see how Manchester City bounces back from its Champions League collapse against Real Madrid earlier this week. It plays host to Newcastle United. You can find all of our coverage on the soccer page.
One win away from +1100 success at Madrid tennis tournament
Alexander Zverev went off at +1100 to win the tournament when the Madrid Open began on Monday, and he was our 3-star best bet. Zverev is now through to Sunday’s final, with his title odds shortened to +165. Carlos Alcaraz, who is coming off consecutive victories over Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic, is -192.
