Cubs win to snap two long streaks
A 1-0 scoreline might not look like one of the more interesting results on an MLB scoreboard, but the Chicago Cubs’ 1-0 win over the Atlanta Braves yesterday ended their own 10-game losing run and also halted the Braves’ 14-game winning streak. The Phillies added 2 more wins by taking both games in their doubleheader against the Nationals, the Yankees crushed the Blue Jays 12-3 and the Rockies upset the Padres 10-4.

While he certainly gives them their best chance to win, he already lost to the Yankees a little over a month ago.
