2-0 night on MLB Best Bets
The Pickswise MLB team had 2 3-star picks for Friday’s slate and the Dodgers and Astros both cashed those run-line plays to leave us on a 4-0 run with our baseball Best Bets. Our Padres vs Nationals same game parlay was also a winner at +340 odds as San Diego’s Juan Soto had 2 hits in a 10-5 win over his former team. It was a fantastic Friday on the diamond as our handicappers went 11-3 on ML/RL picks! In other notable results, the Guardians beat the Blue Jays 8-0 and the Red Sox took down the Yankees 3-2.
Wilson worry for Jets
The NFL preseason burst into life with 5 more games last night, with the Falcons, Browns, Cardinals, Jets and 49ers picking up wins. The big news, however, was a knee injury to Jets starting QB Zach Wilson, which will be assessed further today. Deshaun Watson failed to impress in his first appearance for the Browns, but Trey Lance looked good in the 49ers’ win over the Packers.

There is a busy 8-game NFL preseason slate today, building up to the return of the Super Bowl champion LA Rams, who take on neighbors the Chargers at 10:00pm ET. Chiefs vs Bears is at 1:00pm, with Cowboys vs Broncos at 9:00pm ET. Both those games are being shown on NFL Network. Check out our picks for today’s NFL games.

Best Bet of the Day
MLS: FC Cincinnati ML vs Atlanta United

Following the capture of Matt Miazga from Chelsea, FC Cincinnati may soon see improvements to its defensive game, but recently it has been all about offense. The Orange and Blue are as good as any MLS team going forward, having scored 40 goals in 24 matches in the Eastern Conference this season. Star offensive duo Brandon Vazquez and Brenner have scored 22 of those goals and continue to link up well, helping their team to an upset 3-1 win over Supporters’ Shield contender Philadelphia Union last time out.
