And… breathe. A field of 64 teams has been reduced to just 16 in the NCAA Tournament, and we now have 3 days to recharge before the games resume. There’s plenty of great sports coming our way on Monday, too, with the NBA and NHL in action. Let’s get straight into making your next bet better!
About Last Night
Sweet 16 still standing
Auburn and Wisconsin made unexpected exits from March Madness on Sunday, losing to Miami and Iowa State respectively. Gonzaga has emerged from the weekend action as a +200 favorite to win the tournament, with Kansas and Arizona next at +500 odds with FanDuel Sportsbook. The Pickswise handicappers ended the weekend strongly, going 5-3 on sides and 6-2 on totals, while cashing our only best bet of Villanova -5.5!
Warriors sunk by Spurs
The Golden State Warriors lost as 6.5-point favorites to the Spurs in Sunday’s NBA action, while the league-leading Suns needed overtime to take down the Kings 127-124. Other notable results saw the Raptors beat the 76ers, the Celtics beat the Nuggets, while at the bottom of the standings, the Magic (19-53) handed the Thunder (20-51) their 9th straight loss.
Rangers overcome Hurricanes
The New York Rangers beat the Carolina Hurricanes 2-0 in the NHL’s game of the day on Sunday, while the Stars beat the Capitals 3-2.

Best Bet of the Day
Over 6.5 goals in Edmonton Oilers vs Colorado Avalanche
9:30 pm ET, ESPN+
The star names in this game alone — McDavid, MacKinnon, Draisaitl, Rantanen, Makar, Kadri — are almost enough to play the over. All 6 of those skaters are averaging well over a point per game, and that’s not including the supplemental pieces such as Evander Kane and Devon Toews. The Oilers have scored 6, 6 and 7 goals themselves in their past 3 games. The Avalanche are 2nd in the NHL in goals per game at 3.84, and scoring 4.10 when at home. Edmonton can contribute enough as well, with their 3.37 goals scored per game good for 7th in the league. Take the over. Check out our full preview of Oilers vs Avalanche.
