Week 16 of the NFL season is underway. Bowl season on the college gridiron is heating up. It’s a great time of year – even with COVID-19 once again causing problems. Christmas Day and the day after will be huge thanks in part to the NFL and NBA, but Christmas Eve is the calm before the storm. Still, there is plenty to discuss and as always we hope to make your next bet better!
About Last Night
Parlay and best bet cashes in the NBA
After cashing a +848 same game parlay in the NBA on Wednesday (Clippers vs Kings), we were up to our usual tricks once again on Thursday. Our 3-leg parlay of Wizards and Thunder ATS plus the Over in Rockets vs Pacers was a +586 winner. Moreover, our best bet of the day was successful as Nikola Jokic exceeded 26.5 points (29) even though Denver lost to Charlotte.
Titans take low-scoring affair against 49ers
Week 16 in the NFL kicked off with a 20-17 win for the Titans over the 49ers on Thursday Night Football. Randy Bullock booted a 44-yard field goal with 4 seconds left to break the tie. Although we were on the Niners, it was still a profitable day at the office. Under 44.5 was a comfortable winner and Deebo Samuel Over 42.5 receiving yards was even more routine. Samuel soared past that quota in the first half and finished with 159 yards (plus 32 rushing yards). Be sure to read all of our Week 16 game previews and picks.
Miami (OH) and UCF cover and win
Our college football experts went 2-for-2 against the spread on Thursday. Miami (OH) cruised past North Texas 27-14 as a -2.5 favorite in the Frisco Football Classic and UCF (+6.5) pulled off an outright upset of Florida in the Gasparilla Bowl. The Knights prevailed 29-17. Christmas is coming!
Christmas Eve is the calm before the storm
The Hawaii Bowl between Hawaii and Memphis had been the only game scheduled for Friday, but late on Thursday night it became the most recent Covid-19 casualty in the sports world because of health concerns within the Warriors’ program. As such, we will have to patiently wait for the best day of the year: Christmas! It’s less than 24 hours away, and Santa will be bringing gifts in the form of NBA, NFL, and college football games. We have already provided you with the full Christmas schedule.
Horse racing the only show in town
Although there’s no action in the major sports, there is some horse racing action at Gulfstream Park that could be worth checking out. Or horse racing handicappers have been in incredible form, and are up 207.25 units since August. Check out our expert’s picks for today’s Gulfstream race meeting.
