We have another fantastic Friday of sports ahead of us, with NBA and NHL action, and only 24 hours to wait until the March Madness Final Four, so let’s get straight to making your next bet better!

About Last Night

Total success on NBA totals!
The Pickswise NBA team had a winning day on Thursday, going 3-1-1 on the sides and a perfect 5-0 on the totals, which included our only 3-star play of over 224.5 in the Lakers vs Jazz game. There were 2 overtime games, with the Bucks beating the Nets and the Bulls beating the Clippers, while the Pistons pulled off the day’s big upset, beating the 76ers as a 10-point underdog.

Profitable night in the NHL too!
Our NHL handicappers had a terrific Thursday, going 6-3 on their money line and puck line selections, and 6-2-1 on totals! Some offenses went goal crazy, with the Bruins beating the Devils 8-1 and the Maple Leafs crushing the Jets 7-3.

Best Bet of the Day

Los Angeles Lakers -1.5 over New Orleans Pelicans
10:30 pm ET, NBA TV

With 3 wins in their last 4 games, the Pelicans are 2 games ahead of the Lakers, so even if they lose tonight’s game they still have a pretty solid chance of finishing in the Play-In Tournament. This is the moment of truth for the Lakers, though. With just 6 games left they have to string together a solid run, but Anthony Davis returns to the lineup after a lengthy layoff, and LeBron James is also expected back, so the Lakers could be at full strength for the first time in a while. They’ve lost 4 straight, but getting AD back makes all the difference for the Lakers. Expect a big effort from them at home tonight. Read our full game preview for Pelicans vs Lakers.
