Good morning Pickswise Nation and welcome to Wise n’ Shine, your one-stop shop for everything you need to know to bet better today!

It’s NFL Sunday, with action on the gridiron continuing on the heels of another wild Saturday in college football. We also have a full MLB schedule as the season comes down the stretch. Additionally, there are plenty of soccer games (EPL, MLS) and golf matchups (Ryder Cup) to whet your betting appetites.

Without further ado, let’s get to it!

About Last Night

Clemson hit with second loss
Clemson (+6000 to win the national title) is almost certainly out of College Football Playoff contention after suffering its second loss of the season, this one to N.C. State in overtime. Oklahoma just barely survived again, but another underwhelming performance—this one against West Virginia—has Spencer Rattler down to +2500 in the Heisman Trophy odds. Pickswise analyst Ricky Dimon recapped what went down on Saturday.

Yankees help themselves, and help Pickswise
The Yankees pulled into a tie with the Red Sox atop the American League wild-card standings by beating Boston 5-3. Pickswise handicapper Connor Grootenhuis nailed a NYY-BOS same game parlay at +979 odds by hitting New York on the money line, a first-inning tie, and Giancarlo Stanton to hit a home run. It was a big day all around for us on the diamond, as we are now 5-0 in our last 5 MLB Best Bets after cashing St. Louis on the money line vs the Cubs and the over in Mariners vs. Angels.

Today’s Slate

NFL Week 3 takes center stage
What will Sunday Night Football do for an encore following last week’s Ravens-Chiefs showdown? Well, Packers vs 49ers certainly should deliver the goods. Before that we also have some intriguing contests in the form of Saints vs Patriots, Colts vs Titans, Chargers vs Chiefs, and Bucs vs Rams. Check out our great NFL Week 3 betting guide, which acts as a hub to access all our parlays, picks, previews, and prop bets for today’s games.

On a roll at the Ryder Cup
In addition to our MLB Best Bet streak, we are also on fire on the links. The Ryder Cup wraps up on Sunday, and although there probably won’t be any drama in the competition due to Team USA’s insurmountable lead, betting opportunities still abound with 12 singles matches on offer. We are 6-0 through 2 days, so be sure to check out our best bets for Day 3.

Best Bet of the Day

Las Vegas Raiders -4 over Miami Dolphins
4:05 pm ET, CBS

Las Vegas is 2-0 with a Monday night win over Baltimore following by a road victory at Pittsburgh. Derek Carr has been outstanding (817 passing yards, 4 touchdowns). The quarterback news is not as good in Miami, as Tua Tagovailoa is out for at least 3 weeks due to cracked ribs. The Dolphins probably aren’t good enough to win or cover against the Raiders regardless of their QB. Fade Jacoby Brissett; tail Carr. Check out all of today’s NFL best bets.

Must-watch

The Week 3 episode of our weekly NFL show Pickswise Playbook is available now with Chris Rose, Ross Tucker, and Jared Smith breaking down all of this week’s games. And don’t forget to look out for the latest episode of our great new daily betting show Let’s Bet It later today.

Must-read

Our Man vs Machine NFL picks started out with both the human and computer handicapper in profit during Week 1, after which the computer went 5-0 in Week 2! So feel free to take your pick of which of them to tail today! We also have NFL Week 3 Survivor Pool advice and look out for the Week 3 picks in our Pickswise Pro Football Capper Contest, which will be published at 9:00 am ET.

Stat of the Day

Bears quarterback Justin Fields, who is set for his first NFL start, is averaging just 4.7 yards per pass attempt so far this season. The good news for the Bears heading into Sunday’s date with Cleveland is that they held Bengals RB Joe Mixon to just 69 yards on 20 carries last week. Yep, we have a 3-star play on Under 45.5.

Be sure to read our Bears-Browns full game preview.

Boost of the day

Derrick Henry to score the first touchdown
Boosted to +450 with DraftKings Sportsbook

Henry to be the first touchdown scorer in the Titans vs Colts game has been boosted from +400 to +450 at DraftKings Sportsbook.
