Jam-packed day of MLB action
We have another huge slate of 15 MLB games today. Baseball will be on throughout the day, with the Phillies-Reds contest getting the day started at 12:35 pm ET. There are many good games in store on Tuesday night, such as Mets-Braves, Dodgers-Brewers and Rays-Yankees. You can read our previews for all today’s MLB games here.
Best Bets of the Day
MLB: New York Mets ML (-155) over Atlanta Braves
7:20 pm ET
The Braves are on an 8-game winning streak, and are slowly starting to close the gap in the NL East. The pitching matchup on Wednesday will feature ace Max Scherzer and newly acquired Jake Odorizzi. Scherzer has once again had a spectacular season with a 1.93 ERA and a 0.93 WHIP, while thriving against Atlanta this season. In both starts against the Braves, the ace has allowed just 1 run and 7 hits in 14 innings while racking up 20 strikeouts. Odorizzi hasn’t had the same success in a Braves uniform. In 2 starts with Atlanta, Odorizzi surrendered 5 runs and 14 hits in 8.2 innings. It just so happens that one of those starts was against the Mets. While it’s tough to fade Atlanta with how well they’re playing at the moment, Scherzer is one of the few pitchers that can quiet this Braves lineup.
