Good morning, Pickswise Nation. LCS action in Major League Baseball continues on Thursday, plus Week 7 of the NFL season is getting underway, there are college football games and the NHL week moves forward with a massive 12-game slate. It’s another big day in the world of sports, so let’s get straight to making your next bet better!

About Last Night

  • The Astros stayed within striking distance of the Rangers in the ALCS by winning Game 3 on the road via an 8-5 decision. Texas still leads the series 2-1. The Pickswise experts cashed both of their prop bets and are now on a ridiculous 12-1 MLB props run.
  • Week 8 of the college football season continued with Florida International scraping past Sam Houston State 33-27 in double-overtime. New Mexico State was also victorious on Wednesday night.
  • Both Ottawa and Detroit put up 6 goals during respective victories over Washington and Pittsburgh. The Pickswise NHL team had the Senators on the 3-way money line as a 3-star best bet.

Today’s Slate

Best Bet of the Day

NCAAF: James Madison Duke -3.5 over Marshall Thundering Herd (-110)

The James Madison Dukes are rolling along this season with a perfect 6-0 record after coming out of their bye with an impressive 41-13 win over Georgia Southern. The Dukes have covered in 4 straight games following their win last week, which is the complete opposite of the form of the Marshall Thundering Herd. Marshall has lost 2 in a row following a 4-0 start and has failed to cover in 3 in a row. Marshall has not had a week off since mid-September and was just on the road in consecutive weeks on the heels of hard-fought, 1-score wins over Old Dominion and Virginia Tech. In other words, the Herd could be running on fumes in this one – which is not a good place to be against the Dukes. Check out our full James Madison vs Marshall predictions.
