Super Saturday of college football picks
The first full Saturday of the college football season went superbly for the Pickswise handicappers as we went 6-2 on our NCAAF 3-star plays, cashed our mega parlay at +792 odds and went 3/3 in Caleb Wilfinger’s CFB Best Bets!
On the field, #1 Alabama just held on to beat Texas 20-19, but when you score only 20 points, you can’t cover a 21-point spread. Texas A&M lost to Appalachian State, and Notre Dame fell to 0-2 with a 26-21 loss to Marshall, a 20-point underdog. Wisconsin and Baylor were other ranked teams to lose. FanDuel Sportsbook has both Georgia and Alabama at +200 for the National Championship, with Ohio State at +300.
MLB handicappers going strong too
It was a 10-5 day for Pickswise on ML/RL picks yesterday (8-6-1 on totals). We cashed our best MLB prop for the second straight day and also hit a +340 payout with our Guardians vs Twins same game parlay. The Yankees crushed the Rays 10-3, the Red Sox blasted the Orioles 17-4 and the Angels beat the Astros 6-1, while the Guardians picked up another important divisional win over the Twins.

NFL: Atlanta Falcons +5.5 vs New Orleans Saints

Both these NFC South teams underwent significant changes this offseason, and the Falcons find themselves as 5.5-point underdogs for the opener. It may be best to pass on laying nearly a touchdown with Jameis Winston on the road as he returns from injury in the first game of the post-Sean Payton era in New Orleans. The Falcons aren’t nearly as bad as people seem to think and Mariota has plenty of familiarity with Arthur Smith’s system. Grab the points with the home ‘dog.
