Good morning, Pickswise Nation, and welcome to another wonderful Wednesday of sports. The NBA returns tonight and we also have NHL, college football, college basketball and soccer action today, so let’s get straight to making your next bet better.
About Last Night
- The Pickswise NHL team cashed our NHL mega parlay for the second straight day, following Monday’s +850 odds win with a +940 odds success. The big story on the ice was the San Jose Sharks getting their first win of the season and moving to 1-10-1 with a 2-1 victory over the Flyers.
- Our college football team started their week in spectacular fashion with a 3-0 night of picks, and also cashed our Tuesday parlay at +265 odds AND our mega parlay at +612 odds. There’s more too, as CFB expert Caleb Wilfinger also hit with his Ohio vs Buffalo Same Game Parlay at +493 odds!
- Creighton blasted into triple digits with a 105-54 win over Florida A&M, while Baylor beat Auburn 88-82 in Tuesday’s top college hoops games.
- We went 2-0 on last night’s MLS playoff games as Giorgos Giakoumakis scored (+140 odds) in Atlanta’s 4-2 win over Columbus and Orlando (-140 to win or tie) beat Nashville 1-0.

Best Bet of the Day
NCAAF: Miami (OH) Redhawks -16.5 over Akron Zips (-118, FanDuel)
10:00 pm ET, NBCS
The Akron Zips snapped a 6-game losing skid last time out, posting a 31-27 win against Kent State. While that is well and good, the Golden Flashes are one of the worst teams in FBS, and the Zips aren’t much better. Akron will have its hands full with Miami of Ohio, a team challenging for a spot in the MAC Championship Game. Akron is 0-5 straight up on the road this season, while going 3-2 against the spread in those games. However, it was blown out 41-14 at Bowling Green just 2 weeks ago as a 7-point underdog, and the Zips have coughed up 27 or more points in 3 of their last 4 games, while scoring 14 or fewer points in 4 of the last 5. This game could be a mismatch. Read our full Akron vs Miami (OH) predictions.
