About Last Night

Bucks on the brink of elimination
The Heat is on Milwaukee after Miami went 3-1 up in their series with Monday’s 119-114 home win. The Heat are -152 favorites to advance at FanDuel Sportsbook, with the Bucks available at +128 to come back for a 4-3 win. The Lakers are also 3-1 up in their series after a 117-111 overtime win over the Grizzlies.

Close games in the NHL
We had 2 overtime games in the NHL Playoffs last night as the Maple Leafs went 3-1 up on the Lightning with a 5-4 win while the Kraken tied it up at 2-2 with the Avalanche with a 3-2 Game 4 victory. The Devils are also level with the Rangers again after a 3-1 win at the Garden, while the Golden Knights are within a game of advancing after beating the Jets 4-2 in Winnipeg.

Rays set another record with 14th home win
The Tampa Bay Rays’ historic start to the season continued as they scored a modern-era record 14th straight home win to open a season, beating the Astros 8-3. Their 20-3 overall record is the best start since the 1955 Brooklyn Dodgers went 21-2. Also in the AL East, the Orioles won their 7th in a row with a 5-4 win over the Red Sox.

Best Bet of the Day

NBA: Over 229.5 points in Atlanta Hawks vs Boston Celtics
7:30 pm ET, TNT

The Celtics have averaged 120.5 points through the first 4 games in this series while shooting 51% from the field and 42.2% from 3-point range. They averaged 46.4 points in the paint per game in the regular season but are averaging 58 paint points in their 3 wins. Atlanta’s defense has never been their strong suit, ranking 22nd in defensive rating to end the regular season and now 12th of 16 in the playoffs. The Celtics could flirt with 130 points again, which means the Hawks would only need to break 100 points, something they failed to do only 4 times throughout the regular season and playoffs. Stat of the Day

The Clippers have covered the spread only 3 times in the last 9 meetings with the Suns and only once in their last 5 road games overall.

Quote of the Day

“You look on the scoreboard, it seems like there’s a new record broke every day.”

The Rays’ rookie pitcher Taj Bradley should probably not assume things are always going to be this easy.
