Good morning, Pickswise Nation, and welcome to another super Sunday of sports. We are now looking forward to an unexpected but welcome Game 7 in the NBA on Monday night, but before that we have a big MLB slate a busy soccer schedule, the start of the French Open tennis and a huge day of auto racing headed by the Indy 500 — so let’s get straight to making your next bet better.
About Last Night
Celtics on brink of miracle comeback
The Boston Celtics trailed the Miami Heat 3-0 in the NBA Eastern Conference Finals, but it’s 3-3 now after Derrick White’s buzzer-beating tip-in denied Miami in Game 6 last night. Boston won 104-103 and is now the -350 favorite with FanDuel Sportsbook to win Game 7 and take on the Nuggets in the NBA Finals.
Stars stay alive in NHL
Like the Celtics, the Dallas Stars said “not today” to the specter of elimination, with a 4-2 road win over the Vegas Golden Knights to reduce the series deficit to 3-2. Vegas is still the -320 favorite at DraftKings Sportsbook to advance to face the Panthers.
Yankees beat Padres in 10th
The Yankees enjoyed a walk-off 3-2 win over the Padres in the 10th inning, while AL East-leading Rays lost 6-5 to NL West-leading Dodgers. The Rockies were the only team to reach a double-figure score, beating the Mets 10-7 at Coors Field.

Today’s Slate
Phillies vs Braves on Sunday Night Baseball
There’s another 15-game MLB slate today, featuring the Phillies vs Braves Sunday Night Baseball matchup at 7:00 pm ET on ESPN, while the Dodgers and Rays will get the action going at 11:35 am ET on Peacock. Read today’s MLB predictions.
Final day of the EPL season
We have soccer picks for today’s 2 MLS games and the 10 11:30 am ET games on the final day of the EPL season which sees Everton, Leicester and Leeds battling to avoid relegation. With 2 of those 3 teams set to fall into the Championship, we are certain to have at least one shocking demotion, as Everton has been in England’s top division since 1954, while Leicester won the Premier League in a 5,000/1 upset just 7 years ago.

Indy 500 headlines a great day of racing
Car racing fans are in for a treat today with 3 huge events, starting with the F1 Monaco Grand Prix. The Indianapolis 500 then takes center stage before NASCAR’s marathon event, the Coca-Cola 600 and we have picks for each of them from our expert.
Best Bet of the Day
MLB: Washington Nationals ML over Kansas City Royals
2:10 pm ET
The Nationals are looking for a 3-game sweep of the Royals on Sunday afternoon. It’s been a back-and-forth series that has seen the Royals’ bullpen blow up in both games and with both arm barns taxed, it will be up to the starters to go deep into the game. Washington will have MacKenzie Gore on the mound for his 11th start of the season and Kansas City will counter with Daniel Lynch. This will be Lynch’s season debut, as the 26-year-old had been in Triple-A for the first 2 months of 2023. Gore doesn’t need to be excellent in this start — just good enough — because the Washington offense should be able to score early and often against Lynch. Check out our full Nationals vs Royals predictions.
You can bet on the Nationals vs Royals game at DraftKings Sportsbook, which has thousands of betting options available and a great new customer offer where you can bet $5 and get $150 in bonus bets automatically! Click here to sign up for DraftKings.
