Good morning, Pickswise Nation, and welcome to another super Sunday of sports. We have a ton of afternoon action on today’s MLB slate and there’s also the final game of the NFL preseason, plus soccer, NASCAR and F1 on the schedule, so let’s get straight to making your next bet better.

About Last Night

HUGE winning day for our MLB handicappers!
It was a super Saturday for the Pickswise MLB team as we cashed both our standard baseball parlay at +618 odds AND our +989 odds MLB mega parlay! We went 14-5 on MLB game picks overall and on top of that, we went 3-0 on MLB props and 2-0 with our YRFI/NRFI Best Bets! On the field, the Rangers managed to snap their 8-game losing streak by beating the Twins 6-2, while the Red Sox beat the Dodgers 8-5.

Notre Dame sails clear of Navy in Ireland
College football Week 0 began with Notre Dame beating Navy 42-3 in Dublin, Ireland, while Caleb Williams threw 4 TD passes as USC beat San Jose State 56-28.

Great starts for Rodgers and Messi
Aaron Rodgers made his first appearance for the Jets in a 32-24 win over the Giants, throwing his first — but probably not his last — TD pass to Garrett Wilson. Lionel Messi came off the bench to score in Inter Miami’s 2-0 win over the New York Red Bulls in his first regular-season game. The result lifted the team off bottom spot in the Eastern Conference and was one of the winning picks for Pickswise as we went 8-5 overall on our MLS picks and cashed our Best Bet.

Today’s Slate

We have a full 15-game baseball slate today and the action starts early with Angels vs Mets at 12:05 pm ET on Peacock. It runs through to Braves vs Giants on Sunday Night Baseball at 7:00 pm ET on ESPN. Read today’s MLB predictions.

There’s NFL, F1 soccer and NASCAR too
The NFL preseason concludes with the Texans vs Chargers matchup, for which we have NFL predictions, while there are 3 EPL soccer games including Newcastle vs Liverpool at 11:30 am ET on USA Network, plus Seattle vs Minnesota in the MLS at 4:30 pm ET on FOX,  so be sure to check out our soccer picks. There’s also a NASCAR race at Daytona and we have expert advice for the Coke Zero Sugar 400, and we also have F1 picks for this morning’s Dutch Grand Prix.

Best Bet of the Day

MLB: Chicago White Sox ML over Oakland Athletics
2:10 pm ET

The Chicago White Sox can win back-to-back games to finish their series against the Oakland Athletics this afternoon. Yesterday, the White Sox defeated the Athletics 6-2 as the A’s were subpar at the plate. The White Sox are expected to start Mike Clevinger and while his last start came in a loss against the Seattle Mariners, he allowed only 1 run over 13 innings in his previous two starts against the Cubs and Yankees. Check out our full Athletics vs White Sox predictions.

Stat of the Day

The Astros have won Justin Verlander’s last 3 starts by a combined 30-11.

Quote of the Day

“I got in, didn’t get hurt, scored. A good night.”

Aaron Rodgers was happy with his first appearance for the Jets.
