NCAAF parlay hits on day 1 of Week 1
It’s good to start as you mean to go on and cashing our Thursday college football parlay of West Virginia +7.5, Tennessee -33.5 and Penn State -3.5 at +596 odds was a great way to start the week. The Penn State win was close, though, as they won 35-31 against Purdue with a last-minute touchdown.
MLB parlay cashes too!
It really was a parlay day on Thursday as our MLB parlay of Nationals ML, Mets ML and Diamondbacks +1.5 cashed at +600 odds. We went 6-2 on ML/RL picks on the 8-game slate overall. Half of the games produced shutouts, with the Mariners, Orioles, Braves and D-Backs all winning without allowing a run.

Cavs land Donovan Mitchell in blockbuster trade
The NBA didn’t want to be left out of the headlines as a huge trade went down between the Cavaliers and the Jazz, with star guard Donovan Mitchell heading to Cleveland in return for Ochai Agbaji, Collin Sexton and Lauri Markkanen plus a host of draft picks.
The Cavaliers had been longshots for the NBA Championship at +10000 before the move, but FanDuel Sportsbook now has their odds at +3300, while DraftKings has them at +3500. The Jazz can be backed at +20000 on FanDuel and +40000 on DraftKings.

Busy night of baseball
We have a full 15-game MLB slate today, with Apple TV+ showing Marlins vs Braves at 7:20 pm ET and Phillies vs Giants at 10:15 pm ET, while Padres vs Dodgers is on ESPN+ at 10:10 pm ET. Read today’s MLB game previews.
Friday night lights are shining
Everyone will be happy if the second day of college football Week 1 lives up to the standard of the first, and today’s slate includes Western Michigan vs Michigan State on ESPN at 7:00 pm ET and Illinois vs Indiana on FS1 at 8:00 pm ET. Read today’s NCAAF predictions.
Top tennis and golf action
Serena Williams is back in action in the U.S. Open today and her game is included in Ricky Dimon’s best tennis bets for Day 5 at Flushing Meadows — he has an 8-4 record in the tournament so far. MLB: Over 10 runs in Texas Rangers vs Boston Red Sox
7:10 pm ET
The over is 9-4 in Dallas Keuchel’s 13 starts this season, but 3 of those unders came when he was with the White Sox. Since leaving Chicago, the over is 4-1 in his starts for the Rangers. Keuchel has started twice against the Red Sox and one of those outings was his last for the White Sox, as he allowed 6 runs and 7 hits in just 2 innings.
