About Last Night

All rise for Aaron Judge
Aaron Judge finally managed to claim sole ownership of the AL single-season home-run record with his 62nd blast of the 2022 campaign in the Yankees’ 3-2 loss to the Rangers on Tuesday. The Mets won both games of their doubleheader against the Nationals, 4-2 and 8-0, but still fell short in the NL East race. The Braves clinched it with a 2-1 win over the Marlins, taking the division for the 5th straight year. Heading into the final day, the Dodgers are +300 odds World Series favorites at FanDuel Sportsbook, with the Astros at +380, the Braves at +500 and the Yankees at +550.

Today’s Slate

16 MLB games on the final day
With the Blue Jays and Orioles playing a doubleheader today, we have a 16-game slate for the final day of the MLB regular season, with those teams getting things started at 12:35 pm ET. The Rockies and the 110-win Dodgers will bring down the curtain on the 2022 regular season at 4:20 pm ET.  You can read all of today’s MLB predictions.

Champions League and MLS action
It’s another big day of European soccer and we have the best Champions League picks, including selections for Chelsea vs Milan and Benfica vs Paris St-Germain, plus MLS picks.

There’s college football too!
SMU and UCF are playing tonight in a rescheduled NCAAF game at 7:00 pm ET on ESPN2 and we have college football predictions for the AAC matchup.

Best Bet of the Day

NCAAF: UCF Knights -2.5 over SMU Mustangs
7:00 pm ET, ESPN2

SMU will travel to Orlando for the first conference game for each of these programs. The Mustangs’ defense showed vulnerability in their loss to TCU and the team has also struggled offensively in the last 2 weeks, with Tanner Mordecai throwing 2 interceptions against both TCU and Maryland. UCF has been solid defensively through 4 games this season and is in the top 50 in both EPA per rush and EPA per pass. UCF has the better defense, the better ground game, and home-field advantage. Read our full SMU vs UCF predictions.

“It’s a big relief. I think that everyone can sit back down in their seats and watch the ball game. It’s been a fun ride so far.”

Aaron Judge of the Yankees was pleased his record quest didn’t quite go down to the wire.
