Wyndham Clark had the biggest pre-tournament odds of the main US Open contenders on Sunday afternoon but the man who had been available at odds of 50/1 and bigger held off the challenge of Rory McIlroy to win by one shot. Our expert went 2-0-1 with his 2-ball picks for the final round.
Our golf expert Diane Knox Balas found a couple of nice props winners with Tommy Fleetwood to be Top Englishman at +350 and Mackenzie Hughes to be Top Canadian at +700. McIlroy is favorite at +750 odds with DraftKings Sportsbook for the upcoming 2023 Open Championship at Royal Liverpool next month with Clark available at 35/1.
Scores soar on Sunday
There were some high-scoring MLB games on Sunday’s slate, topped by the Braves beating the Rockies 14-6, while the Rangers beat the Blue Jays 11-7 and the Guardians thumped the Diamondbacks 12-3. The Red Sox beat the Yankees 6-2 and 4-1 in a doubleheader to sweep the series.

MLB: Toronto Blue Jays ML over Miami Marlins (-155)

The Blue Jays have lost their last 3 series, while the Marlins have been hot for several weeks, but Toronto has a good chance of picking up a win today. Starter Jose Berrios is hard to trust, but he has fired off 8 straight outstanding starts, and the Jays have won 7 of those games. If he is on once again, the Marlins shouldn’t offer much resistance. About a third of their projected starting lineup is on the IL, and after Luis Arraez and Jorge Soler, there isn’t much to worry about. The Marlins are listing Bryan Hoeing as their starter, but he is a bullpen arm. It looks like a bullpen game for the Fish, and that just seems like a bad recipe against a Toronto offense that can rake. Check out our full Blue Jays vs Marlins predictions.
