The Mets and Pirates aren’t playing the doubleheader to make up for yesterday’s postponement until tomorrow and the rest day is likely something the Mets appreciated, as they bid to bounce back from their rough weekend loss to the Nationals. The Pirates were swept over the weekend and now have the 2nd-fewest wins in the entire league. It will be the same starting pitching matchup that was supposed to be on the mound yesterday, with Taijuan Walker of the Mets out for his 11th win.
