The NBA season is winding down and everyone seems to be dealing with some sort of injury. Let’s breakdown the biggest injuries that are affecting the league and what effect they are having on the team they play for.

Miles Plumlee Center Atlanta Hawks

Miles Plumlee is still dealing with a knee injury that has kept him out of action since the end of December. It’s unclear how much longer he is going to be out, but it’s expected to at least be a few more weeks.

Wendall Carter Jr. Center Chicago Bulls

Wendell Carter Jr. is still recovering from thumb surgery and is expected to be out until the last week of March. If he isn’t fully healthy I would expect them to just shut him down rather than risk farther injury with their young player.

Trey Lyles Power Forward Denver Nuggets

Trey Lyles is dealing with a hamstring injury and isn’t expected to be back until mid-week next week. He is a key part of the team’s bench so this injury is going to mean other guys on the bench are going to have to step up.

Kevon Looney Center Golden State Warriors

Kevon Looney is dealing with a pelvic strain but he is expected to be back either Friday, or in the next couple of games. Looney is only getting about 15 minutes of playing time before the injury so don’t expect this to have a ton of impact on the Warriors.

Luc Mbah a Moute Small Forward Los Angeles Clippers

Luc Mbah a Moute has been out since mid October with a knee injury but it appears he is very close to return. Many expected him to return on Monday against the Lakers but they decided to hold him out at least one more game. Look for Mbah A Moute to be on the court soon.

Lonzo Ball Point Guard Los Angeles Lakers

Lonzo Ball is getting closer to returning from a bad ankle sprain but the bad news for the Lakers it seems it’s too late and they will be missing the playoffs for another year.

Andre Roberson Shooting Guard Oklahoma City Thunder

It’s been over a year since Andre Roberson played a game and it doesn’t appear that he is anywhere close to returning. He still hasn’t returned to on-court activity yet and at this point it seems like it might be a bit of a surprise if he comes back at all this season.

Dwight Howard Center Washington Wizards

The Dwight Howard mystery still seems to continue as he keeps being listed as a game time decision, but the team isn’t providing updates on his back injury so it’s quite unclear when he will return. This feels like a situation where one game right before tip they will announce that Howard is back.

Dante Exum Point Guard Utah Jazz

Dante Exum is still recovering from an ankle injury but it seems in the next couple of weeks he will return and be ready for the playoff run.
