It’s Thanksgiving week in the NFL, which normally means three games on Thursday. However, three is down to two after the biggest one of all—Steelers vs. Ravens—was pushed back to Sunday because of coronavirus issues in the Baltimore clubhouse. That leaves the spoils to Lions vs. Texans and Cowboys vs. Football Team. On the bright side, Sunday’s slate is now enhanced by the Pittsburgh-Baltimore game (assuming it actually gets played), at it also includes Colts vs. Titans and Buccaneers vs. Chiefs.
But right now we’re here to talk about the potential individual performances that will be on display in Week 12. The fantasy football playoffs are on the horizon, so it is of paramount importance that sound decisions are made. Let’s take a look at the best players at each position heading into this week’s matchups, as well as potential sleepers and players you should either start or sit.

Start ‘Em
Aaron Rodgers, QB, GB (vs. CHI) – Chicago’s defense is good, but let’s not get fooled into thinking that it is anything special. With Aaron Jones back and trusty receiver Davante Adams also at his disposal, Rodgers is pretty much a good play week in and week out.
Wayne Gallman, RB, NYG (@ CIN) – Gallman has been an absolute touchdown machine, scoring in each of the past four games—including twice last week against Philadelphia. Cincinnati is No. 29 in the NFL against the run, and Gallman will get plenty of carries in a game that New York may lead from start to finish against the Joe Burrow-less Bengals.
Chase Claypool, WR, PIT (vs. BAL) – Baltimore’s defense can be stingy all-around, but it is better against the run than against the pass. Claypool has scored eight touchdowns in his rookie year, including three in the last two outings. He had five catches and a TD in Pittsburgh’s previous win over the Ravens.
Sit ‘Em
Matthew Stafford, QB, DET (vs. HOU) – Detroit just got shut out by the Panthers, which does not bode well for its chances of doing much of anything against any defense. D’Andre Swift will miss another game because of a concussion, further depleting Stafford’s weapons.
Clyde Edwards-Helaire, RB, KC (@ TB) – Patrick Mahomes is probably going to carve up the Buccaneers, but Edwards-Helaire may not get in on the fun. Tampa Bay boasts the No. 1 rushing defense in the entire NFL at 73.0 yards per game allowed.
A.J. Brown, WR, TEN (@ IND) – Although Brown has scored seven touchdowns this season, the one time he hasn’t found the endzone in the last seven games is against none other than Indianapolis. The Colts held him to 21 yards on one catch. He has just five receptions in the past two weeks.
