The first ten weeks of the 2019 NFL season are officially in the books. Things are beginning to take shape, and we’ve got a good idea of who the contenders and pretenders are. Accordingly, the Pickswise team has come up with their post-Week 10 NFL power rankings as we head into Week 11. There are a lot of interesting games in Week 11 so make sure to check our NFL Picks as well. For our top plays, check out our ‘best bets’ tab.
You can check out last week’s power rankings here. Now, let’s check out below who went up and down in the new NFL Power Rankings!
1.Patriots (1)
The Patriots had a bye week after their disappointing loss to the Ravens. It’ll be very interesting to see how they respond in Week 11 against the Eagles.
2. Ravens (5)
The Ravens picked up another dominant win over the Bengals, and Lamar Jackson looks like the MVP front-runner. Buckle up.
3. Vikings (7)
The Vikings went into Dallas and picked up a huge road win on Sunday Night Football. So much for Kirk Cousins not being able to win primetime games.
4. Packers (6)
The Packers survived a tough challenge from an underrated Panthers team, helping to quell some of my concerns after their disappointing loss to Chargers the week before.
5. Saints (2)
When you lose to a Falcons team that only had one win at the time, you are obviously going to tumble down this list. However with the Panthers losing as well, the Saints are still in the driver’s seat in the NFC South.
6. Seahawks (8)
Another week, another close Seahawks win that they arguably should’ve lost. Seattle continues to narrowly escape games, and that isn’t sustainable, but for now everything is all good.
7. 49ers (3)
I’ve been banging the ’49ers are overrated’ drum all season long, and they finally picked up their first loss of the season on Monday Night Football. With the momentum snapped, I’m curious to see if this is the start of something bigger.
8. Chiefs (4)
The Chiefs blew a game to the Titans that they should have won, and the defense is officially very concerning. Quietly, Kansas City is just 2-4 in their last six games.
9. Eagles (9)
The Eagles have a season-defining game coming up against New England after their bye week.
10. Texans (12)
The Texans were on bye, but they’re moving up because of some incompetence from the teams ahead of them.
11. Panthers (14)
The Panthers might have lost, but they actually impressed me with how they very nearly beat the Packers on the road in snowy conditions. I think Christian McCaffrey may have broken the plane on the final play of the game.
12. Cowboys (13)
The Cowboys suffered a tough loss, but it was a close one against a very good team. They’re still in decent shape in the NFC East.
13. Raiders (17)
It’s hard to argue with what we are seeing from Jon Gruden’s team right now. Oakland’s pass-rush came alive in their Thursday night football win over the Chargers, and they’ve already surpassed everybody’s expectations for the year.
14. Colts (11)
The Colts lost to the Dolphins, which was obviously embarrassing, but they didn’t have Jacoby Brissett under center. Things should get back to normal when he returns shortly.
15. Rams (10)
The Rams are an absolute mess right now, and the offense looked horrible again this past week against the Steelers. Making matters worse, they just lost two offensive line starters to injury.
16. Titans (21)
The Titans picked up a massive win over the Chiefs, with Ryan Tannehill contributing some late-game heroics. I’m skeptical they’ll be able to keep it going, but it’s a fun story right now.
17. Steelers (22)
I’ve been skeptical of the Steelers and still am, but it’s hard to argue with four straight wins. They also have a very easy schedule the rest of the way.
18. Bills (15)
The Bills continued to indicate that their hot start was fraudulent, as they lost their second straight game to the Browns. It’ll be very interesting to see how Buffalo closes the year.
19. Chargers (16)
The Chargers blew another game they should have won, and now sit at 4-6. They’ve got one last chance to make things right against the Chiefs on Monday Night Football this week.
20. Jaguars (20)
The Jaguars are going back to Nick Foles after their bye week. If he struggles it won’t be long before Gardner Minshew is back under center.
21. Bears (23)
The Bears won a game they desperately needed over the Lions, but they didn’t look great doing it. If they can beat the Rams in Week 11 though, things might not be entirely lost.
22. Browns (24)
Cleveland finally won a game, although they did their best to blow it against Buffalo. A very interesting game against the Steelers on Thursday Night Football awaits.
23. Buccaneers (25)
The Buccaneers had been losing close games left and right, but they were finally able to pick up a victory over the Cardinals. This team has some sneaky upside.
24. Cardinals (18)
Arizona suffered a heartbreaking loss on the road against the Buccaneers. They’re still a year away, but there’s a lot to be excited about with Kyler Murray and Kliff Kingsbury.
25. Lions (19)
The Lions fell to the Bears last week, essentially killing their playoff hopes. Now it looks like Matthew Stafford might miss some more action, so things could get worse.
26. Broncos (26)
Denver had their bye week. Brandon Allen will start again against Vikings, but it won’t be long before we see rookie Drew Lock.
27. Falcons (28)
Just when it looked like the Falcons had nothing left in the tank and Dan Quinn was going to be fired at any moment, they shocked everybody by beating the Saints as a massive underdog. I still wouldn’t get too excited if I was in Atlanta fan.
28. Dolphins (29)
Don’t look now but the Miami Dolphins have a winning streak going. With the Bills at home in Week 11, it’s not inconceivable that they could win three straight.
29. Jets (30)
The Jets finally won a game, taking some pressure off Adam Gase for now. Hopefully Sam Darnold continues to improve.
30. Giants (27)
The Giants managed to sink even lower this past week, losing to the lowly Jets. Pat Shurmur might be running out of time.
31. Redskins (31)
The Redskins were on bye, which is a win for them at this point.
32. Bengals (32)
The Bengals got absolutely annihilated by the Ravens. At least they have a clear path to the top pick in April’s draft.
