NHL Wednesday mega parlay (+925 odds): Ducks keep losing

There are only 4 games in the NHL tonight, but that’s still enough to parlay 3 games into a bet that pays out at just over 9/1 with FanDuel Sportsbook. But before we dive in, be sure to check out all of our picks and previews for every game tonight.

Devils +1.5 (+110)

Penguins -1.5 (+115)

Blackhawks ML (+105)

Parlay odds: +925

Let’s break down each of the legs one by one.

New Jersey Devils +1.5 over Toronto Maple Leafs (+110)

Petr Mrazek is the confirmed starter in net for the Toronto Maple Leafs. He has had a very bad stretch of games recently, which resulted in him being placed on waivers before the trade deadline. What’s even worse for Mrazek, is he went unclaimed, meaning 31 other teams didn’t think he was good enough to be picked up for free. His confidence is low, and tonight he’ll be playing against the high-flying offense of the New Jersey Devils.

While the Maple Leafs are one of the best offensive teams in the league, and they should win this game, the Devils are a pesky team who could keep this one close. They erased a 2-goal deficit last night and won 7-4 against the Rangers. They’re an undercover team that can do some damage against any opponent. They might not win tonight, but with Mrazek in the net for the Leafs the Devils should keep it close. Take the Devils +1.5.

Pittsburgh Penguins -1.5 over the Buffalo Sabres (+115)

The Pittsburgh Penguins are a sleeper team to make a deep run in the playoffs this year, but if they expect to perform well enough in the playoffs, they’ll need to end the regular season on a high note. They’re in 2nd place in the Metropolitan Division, and tonight could be seen as an easy 2 points against the Buffalo Sabres. The Penguins are playing on a back-to-back tonight, however, they’re coming off of an impressive 5-1 victory against the Columbus Blue Jackets. The Pens are now on a 3-game win streak and they realistically have a shot at 1st place in their division. With just 18 games left for Pittsburgh, these games will be seen as must-wins from within the locker room. Over their last 10 games, Pittsburgh’s goaltenders are posting a combined .932 SVP. Take the Pens on the puck line tonight.

Chicago Blackhawks ML over Anaheim Ducks (+105)

Both of these teams were heavy trade-deadline sellers. But what separates their active rosters today, is the available players. The Ducks are still riddled with injuries, and because of that, they’ve now lost 7 games in a row. One of the more surprising teams at the beginning of the season has now fallen off tremendously. The Blackhawks, while not performing much better on a 3-game losing streak, still have a strong core of veteran players more than capable of winning tonight’s game. The Ducks are young and very skilled, but they’re proving they don’t have the experience to overcome adversity yet. Additionally, Anaheim sold some key players at the deadline, most notably Hampus Lindholm, Josh Manson, and Rickard Rakell. Neither of these teams are making the playoffs, but as far as tonight is concerned, the Blackhawks should walk away with a victory. Take them on the money line.
