Wednesday's NHL mega parlay (+1056 odds): Avs looking for their seventh straight win

There are only 3 games tonight in the NHL, but that’s still just enough for an NHL mega parlay! Before we dive in, be sure to check out all of our picks and previews for every game tonight.

Rangers -1.5 (+120)

Canadiens ML (+140)

Avalanche -1.5 (+100)

Parlay odds: +1056

Let’s break down each of the legs one by one.

New York Rangers -1.5 vs Philadelphia Flyers (+145)

The New York Rangers still have a chance to win their division and tonight’s game will be circled on their calendar as an easy two points. They are playing the Philadelphia Flyers, who have been one of the worst teams in the league. They’ve won just 3 of their last 10 games and are allowing 4.4 goals per game. The Rangers have won 7 of their last 10 games and are allowing just 2.2 goals per outing. This will be the tail-end of a back-to-back for the Rangers, but after a disappointing loss last night to the Carolina Hurricanes, expect them to bounce back with a big victory. With the way the Flyers have been playing, New York should easily cover the spread. Take the Rangers on the puck line.

Montreal Canadiens ML vs Columbus Blue Jackets (+140)

While neither of these teams will be making the playoffs, this could still turn out to be an entertaining game to wager on. The Montreal Canadiens provide great value on the money line. The Columbus Blue Jackets have won just 2 of their last 10 games, effectively ending their chances of making the playoffs. This is a defeated team who will be entering the offseason at an extremely low point. With just 10 games left on the schedule, the Blue Jackets opponents will likely be able to add 2 points to their record and improve on some individual stats. While Montreal has no chance of making the playoffs either, this is a team that has at least shown some purpose this season with their head coaching change. The teams’ young stars and goaltending has been much better since mid-Feburary. This game should be considered a coin flip game, and because of that, bettors should take the Canadiens on the money line.

Colorado Avalanche -1.5 vs LA Kings (+100)

The Colorado Avalanche have been the hottest team in the Western Conference all season. They’re on a 6-game win streak, the best in the conference, and tonight they’ll be looking to set the tone against a playoff team. The LA Kings are a good hockey team. They’re fast, they’re scrappy, but they don’t have the superstar power that the Avalanche possess. Additionally, Drew Doughty, their top defenseman, has been ruled out for the rest of the season. Missing their primary option on the back end will seriously hurt the Kings. The Avalanche have 4 strong lines that will come at the opposing team in waves, and playing shorthanded on defense or even starting a defenseman who doesn’t have many reps could seriously hurt the Kings’ chances. The last time these teams met, the Avs won 3-0. They are averaging 3.3 goals over their last 10 games and are posting a .934 SVP during that stretch. Take the Avalanche to win on the puck line tonight.
