NHL pick today: Colorado Avalanche ML over Pittsburgh Penguins, 8:07 pm ET
The Avalanche come into this game on a 6-game win streak after a 5-0 victory over the Chicago Blackhawks on Monday. The defense has improved since last season ranking 3rd in goals against. Even with captain Gabriel Landeskog out, the Avalanche have been able to stay afloat with all their depth. The home team is 6-2 in the last 8 meetings between these teams, therefore backing Avalanche to win tonight will be the play.

NBA pick today: Philadelphia 76ers -3.5 over Chicago Bulls (-110), 8:10 pm ET
For the first time in his career Joel Embiid went out of a game against the Chicago Bulls defeated this past Monday. The good news is it’s a quick turnaround for both teams as they square off for the 4th and final time tonight in Chicago. They’ve gone 12-2 SU in their last 14 games vs the Bulls, plus they’re riding a 6-game road win streak at the moment and are 6-0 ATS in their last 6 visits to United Center. Despite their most recent loss to the Bulls, look for the 76ers to get revenge tonight and back them to win and cover.

NBA pick today: Portland Trail Blazers vs Utah Jazz – Over 234 points (-110), 9:10 pm ET
Neither of these two teams cares all that much about defense, especially the Blazers who are 27th in defensive efficiency and allowing 115.2 points per 100 possessions this season. Utah isn’t much better, as they’re sitting in 24th and allowing 113.6 points. Given the lack of defense shown by both teams for the majority of this season, will make backing the over our best play tonight.

NBA pick today: Los Angeles Lakers ML over Phoenix Suns (-105), 10:10 pm ET
On paper the Suns look fairly comfortable in the 4th seed right now, but with the Clippers and Warriors being just 1 and 2 games behind them things can turn around quickly.
They’re facing a Lakers team that they’ve beaten already twice this season, by 10 and 26 points, however both of those games were at home. It is also worth noting that Phoenix has been struggling a bit lately, failing to cover in 5 straight and winning just once in those 5 games.
Phoenix likely not having Deandre Ayton is music to the ears of Anthony Davis who now has zero excuses not to dominate this game. The Lakers have also had the best defense since the All-Star break with a 111.3 rating, therefore backing them to win tonight will be the play.
