The season’s second golf major comes to a close at Oak Hill in Rochester, NY on Sunday. It’s the final round of the 2023 PGA Championship, and it should be a fun one. Brooks Koepka and Viktor Hovland are among the leaders, while while Bryson DeChambeau, Justin Rose, Scottie Scheffler and Rory McIlroy are in the mix.

Our expert Diane Knox Balas’ best bet going into the tournament was Brooks Koepka at +2200 odds and her +750 play on Tommy Fleetwood to be the top finisher from Great Britain & Ireland is also in play.

Let’s wrap up the tournament in style with my best 2-ball bets for Sunday.

Denny McCarthy (-115) over K.H. Lee

I was high on McCarthy going into the week and I’m not about to get off the bandwagon following 3 productive rounds. The 30-year-old American has made 14 of his last 16 cuts, including a T8 performance at the Wells Fargo Championship 2 weeks ago. Since opening in Rochester with a 75, McCarthy has carded a 70 and 72. He has made only 3 bogeys in his last 24 holes dating back to the second round. Lee, on the other hand, made 8 bogeys on Saturday alone as he stumbled to a 75. McCarthy has the momentum and I expect him to keep it going.

Mito Pereira (-135) over Harold Varner III

The plan here is for Pereira to do a 180 from last year’s final round of the PGA Championship, when he famously melted down on the 72nd hole and opened the door for Justin Thomas to eventually win. Pereira is not in contention this time around, going into Sunday tied for 33rd at 5-over. Needless to say, the pressure is off. Meanwhile, Varner was one of the worst final-round players in golf during his time on the PGA Tour. You can’t blame him for making the jump to LIV, where he has to play only 3 rounds instead of 4. I will fade the 32-year-old American without hesitation.

Viktor Hovland (+105) over Brooks Koepka

Admittedly, this is my least confident play of the 3. But at plus-money I think there is good value on Viktor Hovland. It is true that the Norwegian has never won a major and Koepka has 4 of these things, but it is also true that this is 2023 – not 2017 and 2018. Koepka once seemed invincible on Sundays during his major run, but he was also the 54-hole leader at the Masters last month and got overtaken – with room to spare – by Jon Rahm. The current version of Koepka is by no means a slam dunk to shut the door, especially with Hovland only 1 shot back and plenty of other big names lurking. Hovland has been incredibly consistent this week, which is a recipe for success in major championship golf. Since his third hole of the tournament, the world #11 has made only 5 bogeys.

PGA Championship Sunday 2-ball parlay

Denny McCarthy -115

Mito Pereira -135

Viktor Hovland +105

Parlay odds: +567
