It’s Labor Day Weekend in New York, which is just about as big as it gets on the annual tennis calendar. The atmosphere is always raucous and the stakes are increasing as we head into the business end of the U.S. Open. It’s the perfect time to deliver some winning picks, too, and that is the goal here.

Get your popcorn ready to watch – and hopefully profit from – all of Saturday’s action at the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center. Let’s take a look at the best bets to be made on Day 6 of the year’s fourth and final Grand Slam. Also be sure to check out my best outright bets on both the men’s and women’s sides – which are still in great shape!

Andrey Rublev vs. Arthur Rinderknech Over 36.5 games (-115)

The fact that it has come a little bit out of nowhere is a bit of a concern, but Rinderknech is absolutely rolling so far in New York. He erased Diego Schwartzman in easy straight sets and was about to take a 2-set lead over Matteo Berrettini when the Italian rolled his ankle and had to retire. Rublev did not win a single match in Toronto and Cincinnati, and wins over Arthur Cazaux (3 sets) and Gael Monfils (4 sets) are not enough to prove he is back to his best level. Rinderknech is not an easy opponent to beat in straight sets given the strength of his serve, so this match should have no trouble going over a modest 36.5 number.

Jack Draper -1.5 sets over Michael Mmoh (-135)

Mmoh has racked up plenty of impressive wins at Grand Slams this season, which is why he is being inflated by the market at this point. The American upset Alexander Zverev at the Australian Open, Felix Auger-Aliassime at Wimbledon and now both Karen Khachanov and John Isner at the U.S. Open. Of course, Zverev was just coming back from injury at the time, Auger-Aliassime can barely beat anyone these days, Khachanov had not played since the French Open due to injury and Isner just retired from tennis. Mmoh has no need to apologize for his wins, but it has to be said that he has benefited from a lot of luck. The American probably won’t be so fortunate against Draper, who destroyed Hubert Hurkacz 6-2, 6-4, 7-5 on Thursday. Draper is simply a much more talented player with significantly superior firepower. If the Brit plays well he should roll; and to say that he is playing well this week would be an understatement.

Peyton Stearns ML over Katie Boulter (-137)

Boulter has been on tour for a long time now (her first Grand Slam appearance was Wimbledon in 2014) and she has never made it past round 3 of a major. Needless to say, the pressure is on the veteran as she tries to finally get over that hump. Stearns recently played for the University of Texas and has come out on the pro tour like gangbusters, already up to #59 in the rankings. The American absolutely blitzed Clara Tauson 6-3, 6-0 on Thursday, so she remains in stellar form. Stearns won her only previous meeting with Boulter in February and I fully expect her to do the same in front of the home crowd on Saturday.
