Florida Panthers ML (-120)
Parlay odds: +1209
For this play, we’ve got two favorites on the money line and two on the puck line. Let’s break each of them down.
Boston Bruins -1.5 (-125)
The Boston Bruins are in desperate need of a win as they look to snap their two-game losing streak and hold onto their playoff spot in the East Division. Tuesday night’s matchup will be the first time these teams have been in action since the Sabres traded Taylor Hall to the Bruins. Boston made it very apparent that they were looking to make a run in the playoffs as they acquired Hall before the trade deadline. Brad Marchand leads the team in both goals and assists which has him ranked in the top 10 of the league in total points. It should come as no surprise that the Sabres were sellers at the trade deadline considering they have been the worst team in the league for over a month. They have lost both of their previous matchups to the Bruins this season by a combined margin of 7-3. They’ll miss their team leader in assists in Hall and won’t have much to play for as they have sold off at the deadline and aren’t in playoff contention.

New York Rangers ML (-180)
The New York Rangers are in a battle to make the playoffs and cannot afford to give up any points especially against a team like the New Jersey Devils who they will play on Tuesday night. The Rangers have won four of their last seven games and have leaned on their powerplay which is at 26.3 percent over their last seven games and their goals average is at 3.71 during that span. The Rangers have one of the top defenseman of late in Adam Fox, who has six points in his last five games and has proven to be the top man on the back end for the Rangers. New York has won the last two meetings against New Jersey by a combined score of 12-4. New Jersey is having some special teams’ issues of late that the Rangers can expose. In their previous seven games they sit last in penalty-killing percentage at .580. This has contributed to them losing six of their last seven games and allowing 4.29 goals against during those games. They are 2-6-2 in their last 10 games and their scoring depth is nonexistent.

Washington Capitals -1.5 (+155)
Following their embarrassing loss to the Buffalo Sabres, the Philadelphia Flyers are now sixth in their division and have fallen out of a playoff spot. The Washington Capitals on the other hand are at the top of their division and have been holding steady over the past two weeks. The Caps are coming off a huge 8-1 win over the Boston Bruins, so they should have some momentum heading into this matchup. In four meetings against each other, Washington has beaten Philadelphia three times, including their last three in a row. Washington has a home record of 13-5-2 and is averaging the second most goals in the league with 3.43 per game. Philadelphia is allowing the second most goals per game with 3.51. The Flyers have had terrible goaltending this season and Carter Hart has been a major disappointment. In their last 10 games, Philly is only averaging 2.5 goals per game. With Washington’s heavy offense, it’s unlikely the struggling Flyers will be able to match.

Florida Panthers ML (-120)
In six meetings, the Florida Panthers have beaten the Dallas Stars four times this season. Dallas doesn’t have a great home record. They’re only 8-6-7 and have been on the outside looking in, hoping to get into a playoff spot. They’ve struggled to score goals, only averaging 2.6 in their last 10 games and they’re generating the eighth fewest shots per game. The Panthers are being led by Aleksander Barkov and Jonathan Huberdeau, who are both averaging more than a point per game. Florida is averaging the second most shots on goal per game and 3.14 goals per game, they should have the upper hand when it comes to offense. In their last 10 games, the Panthers are only giving up two goals per game and are averaging a .934 SVP. Florida is only four points back from first place right now. Despite only playing two more games than the Stars, the Panthers have scored 22 more goals. Their goal differential is +18 which is the third best in their division and top 10 in the league.
