NHL pick today: Tampa Bay Lightning -1.5 over Montreal Canadiens (-110), 7:00 pm ET
The Canadiens are an abysmal 1-7-2 in their last 10 games and firmly in last place in the Atlantic Division. Meanwhile, the Lightning are in a top-3 spot in the Atlantic. Therefore, it’s no surprise that Tampa is a significant favorite, even on the road.
These are simply different caliber teams, especially since Montreal’s season was all but lost when Cole Caufield was injured. Things haven’t really been close between these teams either. In the last 3 matchups, the Lightning have stormed through the Canadiens by a combined score of 14-5. There’s no reason not to expect another win by at least 2 goals tonight.

NBA pick today: Cleveland Cavaliers -3 over Brooklyn Nets (-110), 7:40 pm ET
With 3 wins in their last 4 games and a Knicks loss last night, the Cavaliers are close to clinching the 4th seed in the Eastern Conference. They’re one of the toughest teams to score on, often lulling teams to sleep with their slow pace and tenacity on defense.
Brooklyn has dominated this matchup at home, winning 5 straight, but the circumstances are much different this time around. Without Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving, the Nets are a .500 team at best. They’ve lost 3 games in a row and their offense has really struggled during that stretch, scoring just 102, 96 and 107 points, which is bad news against one of the top defensive teams in the league.
Cleveland isn’t the most reliable road team in the league, but with their run of 6 wins in 8 games, they should be able to get a win tonight.

NHL pick today: Dallas Stars ML over Seattle Kraken (-165), 8:30 pm ET
This will be the third meeting between these teams in just over a week. They played back-to-back games in Seattle, where the Stars came out victorious in each contest.
Now on home ice in Dallas it’s difficult to expect anything but the same result. They needed overtime in the first matchup but took care of business in a 5-2 win just 2 nights later. The Stars are also allowing the 6th-fewest goals per game. For that reason, backing the Stars to once again pick an important win over the Kraken will be the play.

NHL pick today: Vegas Golden Knights ML over Vancouver Canucks (-140), 10:00 pm ET
Outside of both being in the Pacific Division, there aren’t many similarities between these teams. The Golden Knights have been at the top virtually all season, while the Canucks are hanging out with the San Jose Sharks and Anaheim Ducks in the basement.
For a division-leader, the Golden Knights haven’t always been the most consistent team this year. However, that has changed as of late, as they’re 8-2-0 in their last 10 games. That includes an incredible 4-0 road win over the Carolina Hurricanes, who are the 2nd-best team in the NHL. Now facing the team allowing the 2nd-most goals per game, they should take care of business.
