Champions League pick today: Barcelona +0.5 over Bayern Munich (-120), 3:00 pm ET

Barcelona lost both of the meetings with Bayern Munich in the Champions League last season by 3-0 scorelines, but the Catalan giants are improving under club legend Xavi and they could keep things tighter when the teams clash in Germany on Tuesday.

Robert Lewandowski, who moved from Bayern to Barca this summer bagged a hat-trick on matchday one of the Champions League as Barcelona blew apart Viktoria Plzen 5-1 and the Spanish club can avoid defeat against Bayern Munich, which has been held to 3 straight ties in the Bundesliga.

Champions League pick today: Ajax +0.5 over Liverpool (+145), 3:00 pm ET

Liverpool was thumped 4-1 by Napoli in the biggest upset of matchday one in this season’s UEFA Champions League, and the Reds could struggle to bounce back immediately when they host Ajax at Anfield on Tuesday.

Despite another summer exodus of key players, Ajax has started the season well, and hammered Rangers 4-0 in its first Champions League game. For that reason, backing Ajax to at least avoid defeat will be the play.

MLB pick today: New York Mets -1.5 over Chicago Cubs (-170), 7:10 pm ET

With Jacob deGrom on the hill we are getting some crazy lines this season. New York is 5-2 in his starts and we have seen the Mets as high as -430. He is just 3-4 on the run line this season, but it is hard to make a case for the Cubs. For that reason, backing the Mets on the run line has to be the play on Tuesday night.

MLS pick today: CF Montreal ML vs Chicago Fire (-230), 7:30 pm ET

These sides met a few weeks back which saw Montreal win 2-0 on the road. Dating back to last year, Montreal have won 3 straight matches over Chicago. They have also registered 12 goals in their last 5 matches.

The Fire have a solid back line, only conceding 39 goals all campaign long, but Montreal love to play open soccer and the home side should be able to breach this Fire defense on more than one occasion.
