MLB pick today: New York Mets vs Chicago Cubs – Under 8 runs (-110), 7:40 pm ET

Tonight’s will feature an excellent pitching matchup with Kodai Senga starting for the Mets and Drew Smyly countering him for the Cubs. The Mets have won 5 in a row, which includes a series win against the Rays, and the Cubs have lost 7 of their last 8. It might be hard for them to get back on track against Senga, who is coming off a fantastic outing against the Rays in which he tossed 6 innings of 1-run ball and allowed only 3 hits while striking out 12.

Smyly on the other hand, has allowed 2 runs or less in 8 straight starts and has allowed more than 4 hits only once in that span. The veteran southpaw has made 4 of his 9 starts at Wrigley this season and has a 2.14 ERA while limiting hitters to a .139 average. Because both pitchers have been very good recently, backing the under will be our play.

MLB pick today: San Francisco Giants vs Minnesota Twins – Under 7.5 runs (-102), 7:40 pm ET

Sonny Gray comes into tonight’s game with a 3-0 record and a 0.89 ERA in 5 starts at home. He hasn’t only been elite at home though, carrying a 1.64 ERA and a 29.6% strikeout rate overall.

On the mound for the Giants will be Alex Cobb, a veteran who has been good this season with an ERA of 1.94. He had some control issues recently, but should be able to bounce back against a Twins’ offense that hasn’t been the most consistent. Because Gray and Cobb are two of the best pitchers this season, backing the under will be our play.

NHL pick today: Dallas Stars ML over Vegas Golden Knights (-142), 8:05 pm ET

The Golden Knights were able to take a 2-0 series lead on Sunday afternoon by defeating the Dallas Stars 3-2 in overtime. The Stars have to be feeling a number of emotions as they were only a couple of shots away from this being a 1-1 series or 2-0 in their favor. They played almost a perfect road game in Game 2, but a couple of sloppy mistakes let the Golden Knights back into the contest. Now down 2-0, the Stars will need their top forwards, Roope Hintz and Jason Robertson, to step up. Because the home crowd will be behind them, expect the Stars to come out energized and win this game to get back into the series.

NBA pick today: Miami Heat ML over Boston Celtics (-118), 8:30 pm ET

The Heat are up 3-0 against the Celtics in the Eastern Conference Finals and will look to complete the sweep tonight. It is discouraging for Boston that it has been 3 games and they have yet to figure out how to get Jayson Tatum a field goal in the fourth quarter, how to shoot the basketball out of Miami’s zone defense, or how to stop a pick-and-roll defensively. Simply put, the Celtics have no answers for the Heat, therefore backing Miami to win will be our play.
