We are heading into week nine of the NFL season which means your fantasy football team really needs a win as you push the playoffs. Let’s take a look at some players you can get on the fantasy football waiver wire that can help you pull out the big victory this week.
Ryan Fitzpatrick Quarterback Tampa Bay Buccaneers
If Ryan Fitzpatrick is available in your leg and you have a middle of the road quarterback put a waiver claim in on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback. Besides the game that Fitzpatrick was benched, in every game he has started he has had at least 25.1 fantasy points.
Even against the Bengals in the last game where he came into replace Jameis Winston he put up 19.6 fantasy points. He does have a tough matchup against the Panthers this weekend but I still see a big game from him.
D.J. Moore Wide Receiver Carolina Panthers
One guy who isn’t talked about a ton but should be on your radar is D.J. Moore who is becoming a very trusted option for Cam Newton. In week eight he rushed for 39 yards on two carries and also had five receptions for 90 yards. This was really the first big week for Moore and it’s unclear if he can be a consistent option for the Panthers but if nothing else he is a good guy to have on your team and stash for later.
David Moore Wide Receiver Seattle Seahawks
Another wide receiver that has burst onto the scene in the last few weeks is David Moore who has scored at least 13.2 points in each of the last three weeks.
Moore might be the biggest risk to pick up, but he will also probably get the most points for you if he goes off. Moore only has ten catches in the last three weeks but he also has four touchdowns down that stretch.
For Moore to reach value he needs to get the touchdown in each game, but he has been able to do that in the last three weeks so it might be worth the risk.
DeVante Parker Wide Receiver Miami Dolphins
DeVante Parker was just a first-round draft pick a few years ago, and now he is a name that isn’t talked about a ton, but is a guy who should have some good fantasy value going forward. It’s clear he’s not in good graces with coach Adam Gase but the Dolphins really don’t have an option, he is a guy they need to play. Against the Houston Texans in week eight he had six receptions for 134 yards.
He is facing a New York Jets secondary that isn’t great this week and although I don’t know if he will have that many receiving yards I think he will be good for a solid 10 or 12 points.
Josh Adams Running Back Philadelphia Eagles
If you are looking for a running back that could help you in a few weeks, Josh Adams could be that guy. He had nine rushing attempts for 61 yards against the Jaguars.
I don’t think he is a guy you should start this weekend, but he is a guy to keep on your bench because he could turn out to be a starting running back down the stretch.
