Heading into week 8 of the NFL season there are a lot of juicy matchups you have to attack in your fantasy football matchups. Below we will break down five must start NFL fantasy football players that need to be in your starting lineup
Case Keenum DEN Broncos QB
Case Keenum is going to be a popular pickup this week on the waiver wire and for good reason because he has a matchup that is going to allow him to put up a ton of points. Keenum for the most part has struggled this year but he gets to face the Chiefs this weekend, a team that has struggled to defend the pass.
The Chiefs are giving up 316.6 yards per game through the air and with the Chiefs scoring Keenum is going to have to air it out to keep it close. This is a good play in season-long fantasy and my favorite play in daily fantasy.
Adam Thielen MIN Vikings WR
If you have Adam Thielen, of course, you are starting him, but I really like Thielen again this week in DraftKings or FanDuel.
He is leading the league in receiving yards and has had at least 100 yards receiving in each of the first seven games. The Jets tried to deploy double teams to stop him on Sunday and he still got open.
This is going to be a high scoring game indoors that is going to feature a ton of scoring and I expect Thielen to get his 100 yards again and a touchdown.
Adrian Peterson WAS Redskins RB
Adrian Peterson has had 99 and 97 yards rushing respectively in each of his last two games and he will be facing a Giants defense that is ranked 20th in the league against the rush.
Peterson reaching value is contingent on him getting in the end zone but I think there will be a few chances near the goal line for Peterson to punch it in.
Andrew Luck IND Colts QB
The Oakland Raiders don’t have a good defense giving up 266.7 yards per game through the air and with the way that Andrew Luck is slinging it, he is a must-start and my second favorite quarterback option is daily fantasy.
Luck has thrown for 1948 yards and 20 touchdowns on the season. Last week against the Bills he only threw for 156 yards but also had four touchdowns.
I would expect his stat line against the Raiders to be closer to 350 yards and at least two touchdowns. Don’t be surprised if he finishes with one of his signature 400 yards and four touchdown games.
James White NE Patriots RB
James White has had a nice season running alongside Sony Michel but now with Michel hurt, he is in for a huge day against the Bills.
The Bills are going to be ready for the game so I would expect the Patriots to do a lot of quick passes to the running backs which will get White a lot of value, especially in a PPR.
I would stay away from him in a normal scoring league, but in PPR you need him locked into the lineup.
