Here at Pickswise we have put together a list of all of the day’s best odds boosts, which are available from FanDuel Sportsbook and PointsBet Sportsbook. We will also discuss whether or not they are worth playing. Let’s dive in.
USA to win, over 2.5 total goals and both teams to score – Boosted from +340 to +400 with PointsBet Sportsbook
For this prop we will need the USA to beat Iran, over 2.5 total goals and both teams to score. This is a must-win situation for the USA if they want to advance to the knockout stages, but they are going to have to score for that to happen. Iran certainly has the ability to put one past the USA goalie, it more so depends on what kind of game-plan they put together — knowing all they need is a draw. This match is more likely to be tight, making the over unlikely. For that reason avoiding this prop looks to be the best option.

USA to score 2+ goals vs Iran – Boosted from +135 to +200 with FanDuel Sportsbook
This prop will need the USA to score at least 2 goals against Iran. The USA know they need to win this game to advance to the knockout stage. Goals have been the Americans’ biggest issue so far at the World Cup, mustering just 1 in their first 2 games. That lone goal came in their first group match against Wales, and was in the first half. Iran looked terrible defensively against England, allowing 6 goals, but tightened up the back end against Wales — not allowing a goal. If the USA is going to advance, they know they need goals and 1 is likely not going to be enough. They still have talent up front, and if Iran takes a more defensive approach the USA is likely going to have their chances. Because of what is at stake, backing this prop looks to be worth a small play.
Christian Pulisic to score the first goal – Boosted from +800 to +1000 with PointsBet Sportsbook
For this prop we will need Christian Pulisic to score the first goal of the game against Iran this afternoon. Seeing that the USA have only scored 1 goal in their 2 games, Pulisic has not had much success. This is his first World Cup, but he can be the hero so to speak if he can find the back of the net this afternoon. Pulisic has had some chances so far at the World Cup and any penalty awarded to the USA may very well be given to him to take. This is more of a longshot, but given the scoring ability that Pulisic does have, backing this prop looks to be worth a small play.
