The first game of the night is one of those matchups that doesn’t feature teams that are set to be in the Stanley Cup playoffs, although the St. Louis Blues are not completely out of the picture. Facing the Chicago Blackhawks is certainly a reason to keep hopes alive, as they’ve been one of the worst teams all season. This Central Division rivalry has the Blues as significant favorites on home ice, but we’ve found far more value with our NHL prop bet picks. That would be with Pavel Buchnevich setting up his teammates, which he’s been consistently doing this season.

Another skater who is even more synonymous with assists is Quinn Hughes. In fact, so much so that there is virtually no value to be had in that market. The Vancouver Canucks defenseman nearly always has odds of -230 or so to record an assist, so we’re taking the approach of him recording multiple points tonight. The Canucks are still out to secure the Pacific Division title, so even with a matchup against the lowly Arizona Coyotes, motivation should still be as high as ever.
Of course, facing the Coyotes presents a great opportunity for a strong night from Vancouver, along with being on home ice. As you’d expected, Quinn Hughes has done well against Arizona, including a very recent matchup. These teams met just 7 days ago, and he recorded both a goal and an assist.
