This week in the NHL ends with a modest 5-game slate. The global series in Sweden ends with a matchup between the Maple Leafs and Wild at 8AM ET in North America. If you cannot catch that game, the remaining Sunday games will have a puck drop between 5:30 PM ET and 7PM ET. As Thanksgiving break approaches, several teams are still searching for their identity and pushing for a turnaround. Sunday’s slate features teams that fall into that category which should make for a good Sunday of hockey.

You can also find out our NHL predictions for today’s slate, but for now, let’s dive into my best NHL prop bets.

Travis Konecny (PHI) over 0.5 goals (+135)

The Flyers are buzzing right now. They have won 4 straight games which came against the Ducks, Kings, Hurricanes, and Golden Knights. They just continue to win surprising games and linger. Even if this team does not win, they make their opponent earn it. They get a favorable matchup on Sunday and should be able to make it 5 wins in a row.

Although this is not a game pick, it illustrates that the Flyers who sit in a playoff spot near Thanksgiving just might be a good team. Travis Konecny is the best player on said good team. He leads the Flyers with 10 goals and has 14 points in 17 games played. In his last 3 games, he has logged over 20 minutes twice, has a goal, an assist, and is +7. Philadelphia is rolling and Konecny is a significant reason why. Getting +135 for him to score against a bad team is good value.

Dylan Cozens (BUF) over 0.5 points (-120)

The Sabres’ 15 points sit second to last in the Eastern Conference and they just lost their superstar for a week to week term. If this team is even going to sniff the playoffs, they need guys to step up, especially without Tage Thompson in the lineup. Dylan Cozens has been quiet to start the season but has shown the upside of being someone that can step up into a big role.

Last season, Cozens had 31 goals. He is being given an opportunity he is going to try to take and run with on the top line centering Alex Tuch and Jeff Skinner. Cozens is also on the team’s second power play. Buffalo will face a Chicago team on Sunday that has allowed the 8th most goals per game in the NHL. Despite the rocky start, the Sabres are the better team and should be able to get the job done. That being the case, look for Dylan Cozens to be in the mix offensively.
