Hockey fans are in for a big day on Saturday. Beginning early in the afternoon on the East Coast will be a whopping 12 game schedule. With 24 teams suited up, there are plenty of star players, intrigue, and betting value to enhance an already exciting day of games. Even if your favorite team is not in action on Saturday, there is a ton to watch for whether it is division rival games, inter-conference games, or highlight reel plays. This will be an afternoon and night of hockey you will not want to miss.
You can find out our NHL predictions for tonight’s big games, but for now, let’s dive into my best NHL prop bets.
Nikita Kucherov Over 0.5 goals (-105)
For how good Nikita Kucherov is and how steady he has been over the past decade, it still seems like he is underrated. He is not typically mentioned in the same breath as Connor McDavid, Auston Matthews, David Pastrnak, Nathan MacKinnon, or some other elite players. But Kucherov absolutely should be. He is well on his way to his 4th 100+ point season in the last 6 seasons. Through 27 games played this year, Kucherov leads the NHL with 44 points which is 5 clear of the next player.
Tonight, Kucherov and the Lightning will play a Kraken team that beat Tampa earlier this year by a score of 4-3. Both teams have really struggled with goal prevention this year which makes for another high total. If this becomes another high scoring game, Kucherov will likely be involved. He has 2 goals in his last 3 games and 15 points in his last 8 games. He is playing great right now and even at -105, this is decent value.
Robby Fabbri Over 0.5 points (+100)
The Red Wings rank 2nd in the NHL in goals scored per game. Over the last couple weeks, Robby Fabbri has had something to do with that. Fabbri has had unfortunate injury issues over the years. But whenever he is in the lineup, he shows why he earned the right to be there. With 13 points in 13 games played this season, Fabbri earned a promotion to the NHL’s second best scoring team’s top line.
Fabbri is skating with Dylan Larkin and Lucas Raymond and he is on the top power play. At any time, Fabbri is going to be sharing the ice with top players on his team and there will be ample opportunities to produce. Tonight, Detroit plays Ottawa which is an opponent that has yielded high scoring games this year. In 2 head to head games this season, totals have reached 7 goals and 9 goals. These teams are a good matchup for a high scoring game and in that case, this +100 is good value for Fabbri to keep rolling.
