Hockey fans are in for a heck of a day on Saturday. There will be nonstop NHL action from 11 AM ET due to the Global Series games in Sweden all the way through midnight. There is so much to watch, root for, and bet on. At any time on Saturday, you will be able to watch hockey so hopefully you can get the obligations out of the way early. This will be a day of hockey you will not want to miss.
You can also find out our NHL predictions for today’s slate, but for now, let’s dive into my best NHL prop bets.
Connor McDavid over 0.5 goals (+100)
All of a sudden, the Oilers have won 3 straight games at a time they desperately needed points. They have scored 4 goals in each of those 3 wins and have a good chance to repeat those performances on Saturday. The Lightning currently allow the 5th most goals per game in the NHL. They have 3 wins in their last 9 games and allowed at least 4 goals in each of those losses.
The Oilers are not exactly elite in goal prevention either so this matchup could be a high score. If that is the case, getting Connor McDavid at +100 to contribute a goal is great value. Even if the final ends up low, any McDavid prop for plus money always has appeal. A slow start cannot fully be ignored. But he is the best player on the planet and has proven as much year after year. Look for McDavid to play with urgency to continue this win streak and as a result, produce in this one.

Joe Pavelski over 0.5 points (-130)
This game may end up being the best one on this loaded slate. Talk about a heavyweight tilt. Avalanche-Stars is it. Both teams are playing great and they are very familiar with each other. In a game that will have such low margin for error, the top players will likely get even more ice time than they already would. With 14 points in 15 games, Joe Pavelski still qualifies as a top player on his team.
Joe Pavelski’s 14 points are tied for the most on the Stars. He has logged the second most shots on goal and is on the top line with Roope Hintz and Jason Robertson. Pavelski is also on the top power play with his line mates plus Jamie Benn and Miro Heiskanen. This guy does not seem to age and continues to get it done. In what should be a great game between division rivals, look for Pavelski to be a key contributor once again.
