The NFL season may be in the books with the Super Bowl done and dusted, but thankfully for NHL fans, our season is only heating up! We have a light 4-game slate to get the week started, but we’re still here to help take advantage of it. We’ve got some exciting inter-conference clashes on the board, and if you aren’t loving any puck lines or money lines, we’ve got you covered with our best NHL prop bet picks. Along with our best NHL player props, be sure to check out all of our NHL picks for today’s action.
Jared McCann (SEA) over 0.5 points (+100)
Odds available at time of publishing. Playable to -115.
Speaking of those inter-conference matchups, that’s where we’re focusing our NHL prop bet picks. One of those contests features 2 playoff teams from last year and 2 teams that advanced in the postseason. However, the Seattle Kraken and New Jersey Devils still have some work to do for a repeat performance. Rather than trusting either team right now, we’re focused on a Seattle skater.
Jared McCann is coming off a 40-goal, 30-assist season, and while he’s not quite there yet, he’s been hot as of late. After scoring a goal against the Philadelphia Flyers over the weekend, he’s now recorded a point in 9 of the past 11 games, including 4 with multiple points. The primary reason for New Jersey currently being out of playoff position is their goaltending, as they allow the 4th-most goals per game. We’re getting some great value on a skater to record a point of any kind, so we’re starting our NHL prop bet picks with Jared McCann.
Clayton Keller over 0.5 assists (+120)
Odds available at time of publishing. Playable to +100.
We have another lesser-known skater to some fans, but the Arizona Coyotes youngster is sure to be a household name in the near future. Keller is already the face of the franchise, and while he may not be in the desert forever, he’s putting on a show while he is. Clayton Keller recorded 2 assists over the weekend against a great goaltender in Juuse Saros of the Nashville Predators and now gets to face a Flyers team without their starting goaltender Carter Hart.
We already mentioned McCann scoring against Philly, and Keller can help a teammate do the same. After all, he’s recorded a point in 9 of the past 11 games as well. Only 2 of those featured a game in which he scored a goal without an assist, so even if Keller does find the back of the net himself, he can also help someone else do the same. So, for another plus-money play from our NHL prop bet picks, we’re going with Keller to record an assist.
